Why Be a Fighter?
Fighters fare well in one-on-one combat. Fighters also get the most HP out of all the warrior classes, however, the least MP.
Pros and Cons
All classes have goods and bads. These are the fighters':
Pros
- Fighters have more HP than Pages and Spearmen, or any other class at 2nd Job for that matter
- They get Rage, raising the damage done by a large amount
- Good at killing individual monsters
- Swords are generally fast
Cons
- Axes have low range.
- Less MP than all classes.
Becoming a Fighter
Head to the Warriors' Sanctuary (located at the bottom right of Perion) once you've reached Lv 30. Go inside and talk to Dances with Balrog. Pass the letter he gives you to the Warrior Job Instructor at the Excavation Intermission Area. After giving him the letter, you'll be given an errand to collect 30 Dark Marbles by defeating the Skeledogs inside. Make sure to stock up on recovery items.
After collecting the 30 Dark Marbles and talking to the Warrior Job Instructor, you will be awarded with Proof of a Hero. Show it to "Dances with Balrog," who will advance you into a Fighter.
Note: The Dark Marbles have a 1/3 drop rate, meaning that a total of about 90 Skeledogs will need to be killed.
Swords or Axes
Choosing between swords and axes isn't easy. Look below to find pros and cons for each weapon.
Pros - Swords
- Stable damage.
- Most are faster than their axe counterparts.
Cons - Swords
- More in demand, making swords more expensive.
Pros - Axes
- Less in demand, making axes and axe scrolls cheaper
- Higher maximum damage (gotten with slashes which occur 60% of the time, in which damage in 1H axes is 110% of their sword counterpart and 104% for 2H)
Cons - Axes
- Being less in demand, less people are selling axes.
- Less stable damage (1 handed axe stabs do about 73% of their slash damage, while 2H axe stabs do about 71%)

AP Builds
Normal Build
DEX = Levelx2, rest into STR until your DEX equals 50~70, depending on your funding/armor, then all into STR.
Minimum STR until about 120 DEX Build
Get just enough STR for next level's armor, rest into DEX
(Note From Player, This build is really not good.............
No DEX Build
All points into STR. DEX and accuracy is obtained via equips (overall, hat (especially Zakum Helm), cape, etc.)
Edit by Maple Dexless: If you're funded, do this build.
Low DEX build
Turn to this if you want a considerable edge of your normal DEX counterparts with generally less money than a DEXless. Just make your DEX equal to twice your level until you decide you have enough DEX (level 10 for 20 DEX, level 15 for 30, level 20 for 40, and so on).
Skill Point Distribution
AznLeave Skill Distribution
Lvl 30-37: [Weapon] Mastery (19) Note: Only put to 19 because when its maxed all u get is just +1 accuracy for lvl 20 and that's not much
Lvl 38-48: [Weapon] Final Attack (30)
Lvl 49: Rage (3)
Lvl 50-60: Power Guard (30)
Lvl 61-66: [Weapon] Booster (15)
Lvl 67-70: Rage (13)
Note from Reader: this skill point distribution is inaccurate. It does not use all the skill points, because, for example: 38-48 is 11 levels, not 10. So, you have 3 unused skill points in that section. This is done many times in this build.
