Description

Status effects can be inflicted on your character. Most of the time, a monster casts a skill on you, causing you to be cursed. When that occurs, an animation will appear above your head. Different curses will affect your stats in different ways, and can be really deadly at times. Also, when you get cursed, a message will appear in your chat bar, stating that you have been cursed, and will also state the effect of the curse.
To remove a curse, you can either wait for it to wear off, or use a cure potion. There are different cure potions for different curses. There is also the All Cure Potion which, as implied by its name, cures all status curses. The last method to remove a curse is to have a Priest in your party to cast Dispel on you.

Curse

  • 3 ghostly black wisps of mist will swirl above your head in an upward motion.
  • This will decrease your EXP gain from monster by half.
  • Can be cured by using Holy Water.
  • Monsters that inflict the Curse status:

Seal

  • A lock will appear above your head, surrounded by more black wisps of mist.
  • This will disable any use of your skills, whether supportive or active. A Priest can still use Dispel, though.
  • This skill is commonly referred to as Skill Lock.
  • Can be cured by using Holy Water.
  • Monsters that inflict the Seal status:

Poison

  • Green poison will spew out of your head.
  • You will be constantly damaged.
  • Damage done and time interval between each damage hit depends on where the poison was inflicted from.
  • Poison can be inflicted by small geysers in the ground that spray out toxic fumes.
    • Usually found in the lava-background maps, such as the Cave of Trials.
  • Can be cured by using Antidote.
  • Monsters that inflict the Poison status:

Blind

  • A skull will appear over your head, and yes you guessed it, black mist will be pouring out of the skull.
  • Your accuracy will be drastically decreased.
  • Does not affect magicians
  • This curse is also knows as Dark(ness).
  • Can be cured by using Eyedrop.
  • Monsters that inflict the Blind status:

Weakness

  • You will be sweating. Blue water droplets rain over you.
  • You cannot jump. Movement speed and the ability to climb ropes/ladders remain unaffected.
  • Can be cured by using Tonic.
  • Monsters that inflict the Weakness status:

Stun

  • Technically this is not a status curse, because there is no cure potion attributed to it. Dispel cannot remove Stun.
  • This disables your ability to move and use skills. You can still use potions, however.
  • Zombie maps (Forest of Dead Trees I through IV) and some other maps have little spouts in the ground and rocks that fall from the ceiling that will stun you.
  • Monsters that inflict the Stun status:
