Aran

40 Dex Aran Mastery Guide

This guide is made by Runypro99.

Welcome to the famous low-dex Aran guide. I will help you out on most of your training spots and SP adding til 3rd Job.

Introduction

Aran is a version of a polearm-based warrior. Unlike other jobs however, it has the unique Combo Ability, where its damage increases with the number it hits it does. This is Aran's strongest and weakest points. Low-dex Aran allows the Aran to maximise its damage without spending too much money.

Pros:

  • Has mob skill at 1st Job which hits up to 12 monsters, where other jobs hit up to 6 monsters until 3rd Job (Meso Explosion, Dragon Roar, Genesis .etc)
  • High damage with Combo Ability
  • Strong at MC1, MP3 and Magatia maps
  • Fast attacks despite using polearm
  • Can apply ice element to attacks.
  • Combo Drain nearly removes the use of HP potions.

Cons:

  • Accuracy problems, which means dexless arans are very expensive.
  • Max HP is lower than Warrior class.
  • Stunned breaks combos, resulting in weaker damage before combo count returns.
  • Most skills require combos instead of MP, thus not spammable.
  • No screen-range skill that is spammable; Tempest requires user to hit monster once before it dies

Legend

The Legend is the Beginner form of the Five Heroes who fought the Black Wizard.

You can also chose to max Combo Ability after Combat Step as at 1st Job, it doesn't make much difference.

AP Build

The AP Build is very easy. For each level up, it's +3 Str and 2 Dex. I capped my dex at 40, which is that aim of the guide. So you can stop adding dex at about Lv20 and put all your AP in Str.

Training Places

  • Level 10-13: Do Keep Training! 1 until Keep Training! 3 and unlock Combo Ability.
  • Level 13-15: Do the Aran Quests. You can train at Henesys on Cynical Orange Mushrooms or Pigs.
  • Level 15-20: This should become easier. Train on Octopus at Henesys. There is a Hidden Street there with huge mobs of Octopus.
  • Level 20+: Here comes the more tedious Aran quests. Click [here] for help.
You can try Monster Survival: Closed Section or stick with Kerning PQ.
At lvl 25++, go train on Zombie Mushrooms in the Mushroom-growing Cave.
  • Level 28-30: Scorpions are EPIC EXP. Or you could stick with the old training spots.

2nd Job Advancement

Tips

  • Keep stock of Return Town Scrolls and Return Lith Harbour Scrolls. When going to fight the Puppeteer, stock up on All Cure potions.
  • Get a party when doing Aran Mob quests. They are quite tedious.
  • Get a dex-scrolled bathrobe at LV20. Solves most of your current accuracy problems.
  • If you are funded, try for a Brown Bandana or Scrolled/Coloured Workgloves. Even better, a Yellow Maple Bandana which adds +1 to each stat.
  • Do Kerning PQ and REMEMBER TO GET SQUASHY SHOES. THEY ADD 1 TO EACH STAT. DON'T BE AN IDIOT LIKE ME.

  • Level 68: 3 Body Pressure (14)
  • Level 69: 3 Body Pressure (17)
  • Level 70: 3 Body Pressure (20) [MAX]

Total: 121 Skill Points

  • 20 Triple Swing [MAX]
  • 20 Body Pressure [MAX]
  • 20 Polearm Mastery [MAX]
  • 20 Combo Drain [MAX]
  • 20 Combo Smash [MAX]
  • 21 Final Charge
    • Note: You can max Body Pressure before Final Charge if you find it more useful.
Triple Swing is added after maxing Combo Drain to maximise the hp gained by Combo Drain with higher damage.
Polearm Mastery is maxed first to cover your lack of dex, which causes you to have problems with Toy Trojan in MC1.

Tips

  • Do MC1 as it has the best EXP around this levels. If you get bored or need some funding, do Monster Survival: Pyramid's Nett.
  • After finishing MC1, use all your Maple Coins to buy Gephart, but your top priority is to get Spielgellman's Necklace.

Training Places

  • Level 30-35: If you want, get a Blue Sauna Robe (M)/Red Sauna Robe (F).I reccommend getting a Steel Polearm.Avoid MC1 as you will have accuracy problems unless you are heavily funded for godly equipments. Try leeching (33k xp per win is also good despite the new EXP party formula)
  • Level 35-40: If you occasionally miss Toy Trojans, I reccommend you keep leeching or train on Evil Eye, Curse Eye or Fire Boar. Try getting a fully 100% dex scrolled Bennis/Crusader Chainmail.
  • Level 40-45: Now you should not have any problems with MC. Max Trojan plus Speed in an MC swap will bring you a huge grin in EXP.
  • Level 45-50: After getting your maxed Combo Smash, Max Rombot with Speed should be no problem. If you don't plan on getting a Super Snowboard, try getting a Guan Yu Polearm.
  • Level 50-55: GET A SUPER SNOWBOARD (10M) OR A LV50 POLEARM BEFORE HITTING 51. Try doing Glitch MC1 (for more info, go Youtube to search it) or you can go Truckers in Singapore or Roids in Magatia. Avoid sharing maps and x2/x4 EXP is HIGHLY RECCOMMENDED. If you are heavily funded with godly equips, feel free to try MP3 or GS maps. I couldn't train there even at 54 with 93 accuracy. You can do rush MC2 but the EXP is worser than Glitch MC1.
  • Level 55-65: MP3 or GS. Getting x2 EXP either family buff or events might speed things up. Pretty boring. If u got the @cash to buy the VIP tele rock or the time to reach the map, Wind Raiders would make nice EXP. Very nice.
  • Level 65-70: You can try Homun at Magatia. Pretty good EXP if you can hit it but a pot-burner, nevertheless. A cleric would come in handy, and it would let you try out Sites. On the other hand, MP3 is great EXP as usual. x2 EXP might come in handy. If you are daring, try Homunculus at your late 60s, cleric still reccommended.
