Q: is the GM hat real or is it only a privet server item? i don't know if real because of its outstanding stats on privet servers

A: There are two good spots for Dark Stone Golems: Golem's Temple III near Henesys, and The Forest of Golem near Sleepywood.

Q: How Do You State That An Article Was Already Made

A: I'd say to go train on Buffys, and depending on your DEX maybe Soul Teddies. Nichrome

Q: If you don't use skill points, can these points be used for skills gained in a job advancement???? WarChild 14:37, 3 August 2009 (UTC)

A: Only until you reach level 29. When you reach level 30 the unused skill points thereafter will be wasted. So you can play a Beginner all the way until the 2nd job advancement if you want, but it is not recommended for warriors or magicians who can get MaxHP and MaxMP from the first job. --Zanachriel 17:05, 3 August 2009 (UTC)

Q: I'm doing the Bone Helm Quest and I'm looking for Nepeandeath Honey, does Nepeandeath or Dark Nepeandeath drop it?

Q: I'm a level 30 Pirate. I've started the Become a Gunslinger quest, but how do I get Kyrin to teleport me? By thegreatkate

A: Try and talk to her to teleport you to the place where you can fight the Pirate Octopus.

Q: I am trying to do the immoveable sword quest in Perion i have all erasers and Undine,s cloth but i still cant complete the quest.what iam i missing any help would be great...happy new year to all.

Q: I made my character the way i wanted to, yet people keep harrasing me about the skills i choose. I used a Solo cleric build, yet people say i should of got HB(Holy Bless), yet i found it was my right to choose what skills and points go where. Aren't I correct in chooseing which skills and points go where? Don't i have the right to choose what skills my character's have?

Q: I just collected 100 Blue Gift Boxes for Maple Claws (I'm a level 48 [[Ice/Lightning Wizard]) but she won't accept them. What do I do to turn them in?

Q: How do I make a table of contents?

Q: How Do I make a guide? As in, where do I click?

Q: Which Gachapon has the highest chance of getting a weapon?

Q: How do I make my Pirate Guide to be hosted by MapleTip like the Mage Guide? Oh yeah, mine is the only Pirate Guide!

Q: How do you go to the next line down when making a guide?

A: If you mean the lines between these questions then just do "----" that's 4 minus signs (no quotes). If you wanted to start a new topic like the word... ==Guide==, then put == and == follow the word "Questions" at top.

If you mean how to literally move the next to the next line down, use the "Enter" key as if you were typing a paragraph. Otherwise, please add more information and we'd be glad to help you out!

Q: Can a DEXless thief be an Assassin?

A: It depends. A DEXless assassin requires massive funding. Also, you must be someone who's had lots of experience in the game. Otherwise, DEXless will be far weaker than a regular Assassin.

Q: What is the skill build for a Pole Arm Dragon Knight?

A: Personally, I would make it the exact same as a Spearman Dragon Knight skill build except to max the Pole Arm version of the skills.

Q: Why is it that every time I try to upload an image, it only shows sometimes? I uploaded an image on my User Page, and it shows the image. But when I edit the page (and not even touch the image settings), it would always change and the image is gone. It shows a link to where I have to upload the picture. But, I've uploaded it many times. Then the image link says the file is not there and asks me to upload one.

A: Try another browser or clearing out your cookies and try again. If you still are having issues, please let us know on the MapleTip Forums.

Q: Is there a way to open up two MapleStory windows, and have two characters from different accounts playing at the same time?

A: No. It takes a third party software to make MapleStory windowed. This is not allowed as most hackers and bots use windows most to take unfair advantage in the game.

Q: How do you get Summoning Bags?

A: You can get Summoning Bags from quests.

Q: How do you revert edits automatically? Can admins only do that? Kiyobi 02:20, 27 March 2007 (CDT)

A: If you saved something, and want to revert back fast, look at top next to edit. There's a History tab. Click that and go back to which ever one is the good one. Then click "Edit" on that page and copy the entire thing or copy the thing that was changed. Then click the "Article" tab. It goes back to the original page where the mistake is still there. Click edit and paste the HTML formats that you copied from the History.

Q: In some places I see people with pets, they can use some sort of '/' command to input their own text into the pets speech bubble. May I ask how do they do that? - An avid MapleSEA player.

A: I think by typing /pet followed by your message, you can command your pet to say that only after level 15.

Q: On the Guild page, it says 6 party members are needed, and it says Guild members can leave as they wish. So how many members does a guild need to stay in existence, apart from the leader?

A: A guild only needs its master to stay in existence. The only way that a guild is disbanded is if the master does it themselves, even if they are the only member in the guild. --User:Dah-BAM! 04:12, 12 December 2008 (PDT) You need six party members to create a guild, but after that only the master is needed to stay in the guild.

Q: Since MapleSEA has recently came up with a new map "Zipangu" or in the Japanese versions "Jipang", is it possible for MapleWiki to come up with a quest guide for the wide array of quests available in the area, as well as information on the items and NPCs in the place and monsters around the area too with visual maps and so on? Thank you!

A: Wiki's are all about player input. So, as soon as people learn about Zipangu and want to contribute to MapleWiki's info, we'll have stuff here to read about. Q: Are the pages for specific items following some basic templates or if you wanted to add a field to all of them, does that have to be done by hand?

A: I think a "Shop Value" section would be a useful addition to the item pages.Same thing for monster meso drops and item drops.--anon 18:49, 1 September 2008 (UTC)

Q: Can anyone put a guide to making Omok sets? I have the table and the 15 pieces, but i don't know what to do next!!

A: I'm pretty sure you need 99 pieces of each type, after that talk to Casey in Henesys. First go to Mushroom Park, walk to the very right, and she is in the map past the treehouse (Athena Pierce).

A: You only need 99 of two types to make an Omok set, not all of them. The catch is that they have to be matching types, such as Pig/Omok and Panda/Teddy. -User:Dah-BAM! 04:12, 12 December 2006 (CST)

Q: Can anyone post all the possible haircuts, hair dyes, contact colors, plastic surgery, etc. visually? I've tried Hidden Street and many other places but they don't have all of it. I would appreciate it.

Q: Is anyone going to put up a money making guide? All we have are a few tips on the meso page. What I had in mind was a collection of recommended ways to rake in some mesos, categorized by class and level. Don't look at me though, I'm really poor. :P --Naglfar52

A: To make a new page, just go to http://www.maplewiki.net/index.php/new_page_title (replacing new_page_title with the title of the page you want to make.) Q: Is MapleWiki going to post all the Hidden Streets in MapleStory? I know quite a few so I could start a new guide if all of you want me to.

A: Well, if you put headers for each section of the article ( ==text here== would be the biggest header, ===text here=== would be the smallest header), it will automatically create a table of contents for you. However, if the article does not have enough heading to automatically create one, you can manually make one by putting the code __TOC__ at the top of the page. Q: How do you make more User pages?

A: You make the title User:(UserName)/(Title of User Sub Page). For example, if you linked to one of my sub user articles, you'd do this: User:EliteJeff/Published Articles

Q: Looking at the drops from monsters you can get: compare the differences between the format used in Snail and Dark Stump. Which do you think is more apropriate? I feel that it's better to standardize. Bewnt

Q: Hello everyone, I'm currently playing in JMS or Japanese MapleStory and already I'm having a hard time... because no one speaks English... OK, so the situation is that I'm stuck on Maple Island since there is this quest, the NPC looks like Jane with the bunny ears. It's a new quest to me and I have no idea what to do since there are no numbers, just letters. Can someone please tell me what quest is this? Thanks a lot.

A: Most of the quests on Maple Island are not compulsory, you can just skip them. Anyway, the NPC might be Yoona or Nina. --Champion911 01:14, 2 October 2006 (UTC)

Q: Could someone please tell me how to use skills? Do you really have to click on them from the skills menu or is there a shortcut way?

A: After opening the skills menu using K(default settings), open the other menu using S (default settings) Drag the icon/picture of the skill onto one of the keys in the other menu.

Q: Can someone find an exact formula for how much the Heal spell restores? I've been playing a STR based Cleric (Don't flame, its all fun) and I've noticed that with Heal at level 5, I only restore 8 HP, not 50%.

Q: How do I unblock guild invitationss, although the settings don't say Guild Invitations? I've tried unblocking everything but I still can't enter a guild. It says that I'm blocking guild invitations. The only way I can be in a guild is only by making one or join a party that makes one. THANK YOU! Question from~A Very Confused Person.

A: This is a bit of a glitch that happens when you are playing Maple on a limited user account. To fix this, try playing Maple on an administrator account, or log on under an admin account and give your account full control of your MapleStory directory. (There are tutorials on how to do this. Q: What monster drops the Red/White Present for the Christmas event? (2006)

C: Santa Claus, obviously. Just kidding, monsters do. level 21 - 30 find red/white presents. I'm not making this an Answer because I don't really know what your talking about with the for the the Christmas event in 2006. Glad if this helped. This is only my opinion.

Q: What DEX does a Warrior at level 30 need to be able to hit Zombie Lupin 98-100% of the time?

A: You will need a minimum of approximately 75 Dex.

Q: Uhhhh, well what does "CC" mean cause I saw it on the video thing called "The Scum of Maplestory..."

A: CC is shorthand for saying "Change Channels" and is usually said as "cc plz" (Change channels please.) when someone is intruding on another user's training session. It is considered impolite and many will not comply until you type it out in a more polite version. (Such as "Could you please change channels?") --Dah-BAM! [Moofey]

Q: How much are Maple Lama Staffs (Maple Global)? Also, how do you get Pickpocket Pilfer, and how much is it?

Q: Is there a guide somewhere of Internet slang (Smegas, f#, DEXless, and such) of MapleGlobal?

A: You can have a look at Maplestory Dictionary, and if you know of MapleStory slang that isn't there it's a good idea to add it.

Q: What is a good place for a funded pro level 31 DEXless assassin to train? A: If you can OHKO boars, go there. Anything you can constantly OHKO is good training. I would try the monster with best EXP that you can constantly OHKO. Probably Wild Boars. Or, if you wanna get rich, Sakura Cellions.

Q: What monsters drop the red/blue presents?

C: Once again, Santa Claus does. Ah, I'm just yanking your jeans son. Monsters do. level 31 - 40 find red/blue presents. Thats just my opinion.

Q: How do you make Silver Plates from Silver Ores?

Q: The link to the images don't work. (mapletip.com and click on IMAGES), is there like a MapleWiki Commons like there's a Wikipedia commons, because now I can't even do images f5.

A: Unfortunately, there is no MapleWiki Commons

Q: What's the normal INT a lvl 30 mage should have? I have a level 21 Magician with an INT of 81(:

Q: How do you delete a page?

A You and I cannot, but what we can do is go to "Edit" and delete all content, then mark it with {{delete}}. This will put the page in the delete template, and User:Yongjanrong will periodically come along and actually delete them. make sure you put a reason for deletion on the page as well, or you can just leave him a message on his talk page with the page that needs to be deleted. A: It means Away From Keyboard.

Q: Where can Straw Target Dummy be found?

Q: How can you put an image into a certain page?

A: Just add a link to the page, for instance [[image:nameofimage.png/jpg/gif]] and make sure that there is an image displayed on that page.

Q: I've been looking at some of the items, and editing what drops them. Is there a special order the monsters need to be in, Like alphabetical or something?

Q: I have been trying to figure out how to get to Singapore. I have a quest that's there, but I just cannot seem to find out HOW to get there. Could someone help me?

Q: Does anyone know if you can make a new Cygnus Knight if you decide you REALLY don't like the class you picked? Like if you can delete you Cygnus Knight and make a new one through that same character?

Q Do higher level monsters have a higher chance of dropping items?(ex. both orange mushrooms and barney grays drop diamonds more, but do barley grays drop it more often or should i mob orange mushrooms?)

Q Before MS made the REALLY long offline thing, i deleted my Theif, made a new one, etc. Now since they reset it to July 11th, my old one is back and i cant delete him again! it always says "operation failed. Try again later" which i did but still cant get rid of him. Plz help.

  • I would like to suggest this wiki merge with the MapleStory wiki at maplestory.wikia.com. Unlike this one, which has many distracting image ads, and enforces users to log in (which will discourage many good editors), the one at Wikia uses only one block of text-based ads along the right hand side, which I'm sure you'll find an improvement. The MapleStory wiki is run by Wikia, which is a company created by myself and the founder of Wikipedia, Jimmy Wales. All wikis are hosted for free at Wikia, and the content is available under the GFDL, making it compatible with the articles at Wikipedia.

I can't find who is actually responsible for this wiki, but it would be great if that person could contact me about whether Wikia could host this site, rather than having two separate wikis on the same topic.

If you want to start editing at maplestory.wikia.com, please go ahead. Alternatively, contact me about how we could actually merge the two wikis. I can e contacted by email (angela at wikia.com) if you have any questions about Wikia, or if you want to request adminship on that wiki.

  • Well, I don't really see what the point of merging the two wikis. This wiki only recently got ads, and probably only for funding reasons. That wiki only has 5 articles, so it would be next to useless combining the two wikis together. Also, that wiki may not require a login to edit (which has its advantages) but this also encourage more vandals. If it were my decision, I would most likely not merge these two wikis together. However, i'm not the owner of this site, so it may be better to contact him. --Champion911 08:44, 26 April 2006 (CDT)

  • That wiki also seems to more attuned to MapleSEA and not the North American Global client.

Drop Rates

I was just thinking- while everyone's updating the drops, would it be possible to create a rough estimate for each dropped item rate from a particular monster? (such as mateon tentacles are approx. 50%) --luvvaluvva 14:03, 13 September 2009 (GMT)

Q: Simply, how do i make a guide ? B)

A: Ok you just create a page and type! Creating a page: Type in your name of the page you want to make in the search box. It will say if you want to create that page, hit yes. (Tipe, Paragraphs require 2 spaces to work)

Editing later: Hit the edit button on the top

  • Hmmm simple. Reformat using wiki syntax. How? Visit http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Cheatsheet as it provides detailed info. Take a look at some of the other mage guides, and follow the format they use. So there shouldn't be a content page that you manually add in, but rather automatically generated. Need more help? Q:i don't knwo why but everytime i get a new patch and download it, the security thing aways pop out and said: virus detected. remove? and if i click yes then the security just remove all of maplestory's file and then i'll have to redownload it. it happens everytime a neew batch came out, i don't know why, and i keep having to redownload maplestory. by the way my computer is vista.
