Introduction

Warrior are the strongest attacking class in the game. They use melee attacks and take heaps of damage to compensate for range. Their Basic attack out-ranks all other classes.

Why be a Warrior

Why should I become a warrior? Well, here are some PRO's and CON's of Warriors.

PROS

  • Does the highest basic attack damage.
  • Has the highest amount of HP out of all classes.
  • Has a choice of 8 weapons at the beginning but is then is reduces to 4 or 2 depending on your 2nd Job.
  • They generally tend to level faster than the other classes until around level 40 or so when the speed is around the same.
  • Warriors same money on HP pots since they, generally, have the highest defense and most HP.
  • Damage is very high so it looks awesome when you are partying.

CONS

  • Warriors do not get ranged attack skills until after their third job advancement, although Pages do have a ranged supportive skill.
  • Although they have the highest HP, HP pots are less expensive than MP pots, which means that your will have to constantly use MP pots after skills.

Job Advancement

After 10 levels of boring beginner skills, you will now be able to learn a new set of skills that you can master. After you have finished the Maple Island quests (or if you just skipped it) you can go the right of Lith Harbor where there are some statues of various classes. Select the statue that is resembling a Warrior and he will talk to you and then teleport you to Perion. Once there, go up to the top right side of the map. Right inside will be a room that is almost deserted except for one NPC, Dances with Balrog, your 1st Job Instructor. Click on him and he will advance you. Congratulations! You are now a Warrior and have just proceeded into the 1st Job Advancement!

The Warrior AP Build

With Swordsmen, the main ability points should go into STR and DEX. DEX is less needed but it gives accuracy, something that Warriors lack a lot of, and it allows us to equip future items. Here is the ability point build for Warriors.

-All you need to do is have your DEX twice of your level to equip the corresponding level's items. Here's how it would go:

  • Level 10 : 43 STR, 20 DEX
  • Level 11 : 46 STR, 22 DEX
  • Level 12 : 49 STR, 24 DEX
  • Level 13 : 52 STR, 26 DEX
  • Level 14 : 55 STR, 28 DEX
  • Level 15 : 58 STR, 30 DEX
  • Level 16 : 61 STR, 32 DEX
  • Level 17 : 64 STR, 34 DEX
  • Level 18 : 67 STR, 36 DEX
  • Level 19 : 70 STR, 38 DEX
  • Level 20 : 73 STR, 40 DEX
  • Level 21 : 76 STR, 42 DEX
  • Level 22 : 79 STR, 44 DEX
  • Level 23 : 82 STR, 46 DEX
  • Level 24 : 85 STR, 48 DEX
  • Level 25 : 88 STR, 50 DEX
  • Level 26 : 91 STR, 52 DEX
  • Level 27 : 94 STR, 54 DEX
  • Level 28 : 97 STR, 56 DEX
  • Level 29 : 100 STR, 58 DEX
  • Level 30 : 103 STR, 60 DEX

Monster to Train On

Levels 1-5

  • Right now you should be doing quests in Maple Island to get to Level 5 really quickly. They are easy (like Roger's Apple Quest) and give enough EXP for a level up or at least >50% EXP.

Level 5-10

  • For now just do the quest in Maple Island. They are VERY easy compared to future quest. They also give nice EXP and can give you a real quick push to level 10. I normally just do these quests and since I already know what to do, I'm off Maple Island and in the 1st Job Advancement in about 10 minutes (or less).

Levels 10-15

  • Train at the The Pig Beach for now. You can use your mobbing skill, depending on what build you chose, on the high spawn of pigs. During the later levels, you may move to Green Mushrooms.

Levels 15-20

  • Right now, training at Dungeon, Southern Forest III is a very good choice due to the high spawn rate of Green Mushrooms. You should definitely have your mob skill by now which will make the mobs seem like small potatoes.

Levels 20-25

  • The Kerning City Party Quest should be open by level 21 and i recommend you to do this quest as it gives good rewards (sometimes) and also has the chance of Squishy Shoes. The EXP is very good for leveling. If not you could always do Ariant Party Quest but it is not recommended for Warriors since we are a melee class. Zombie Mushrooms are very good for training.

Levels 25-30

  • Kerning PQ is a very good option for these levels but Fire Boar are also really good. Training at Fire Boar can get you the 5 levels in just over and hour, although I would recommend to do Kerning City PQ until you get the Squishy Shoes as this could give you quite a bit boost, especially with the potential item system.

End
