About the Author

If I’m in Bellican, my name is DenkouMeji, ReiIkari, And xDenkou. ReiIkari is a level 30 page, DenkouMeji is a level 85 lightning ice, and xDenkou is a level 18 bowman. I have played as all the character types, my favorites being Mages and Rouges. I don't very much like assassins they are to expensive and are a high effort class, if you want to be an assassin be my guest, but don't expect to find any useful information. This is an alternate build that I have created its from this point on going to be referred to as a "PARTY BANDIT". Anyway, what the party bandit is all about is having the rogues 2nd job skill only party ability (i.e. HASTE) at the maximum level for Party Questing. Although this build is weaker than other builds it is better in the fact that it will be 100 times easier to level. I’m not saying that this is the right build for everyone; it has just worked well with me. lets get to the guide.

The Game Intro

Okay here we go...

please visit this page and make sure you are running the most updated version of MapleStory™

[3]

Mozilla Firefox now works with the home page, although chances are that you will not be able to download or view the website to its full potential.

i strongly suggest using internet explorer

The first step is to click the maple story button. Easy.

Next click the "download" button, also easy.

then click on your choice of download, either choose to download it in parts or as a whole (whole takes a bit longer, but less annoying) once it starts downloading you can press the back button, and go back to the main page. you will have to create yourself a maple story account remember that this takes an e-mail address so if you don't have one, GET ONE! (yahoo.com is a fast and easy one to create) after you fill out all your personal information, then go to wait for them to send you the verification code, long code, about 25 letters long my advice for this is a copy paste, but my friends said they typed it out, so really, its what ever works for you.

Okay, log back in under your account name and start your long annoying road of waiting, turn off your screen saver if it logs you out and leave the room, come back in like 15 minutes to an hour depending on how fast your computer works, although it will be a long and slow process it will be worth it. Now that you’ve fully downloaded the game you can now install it,

{YES AFTER ALL THAT TIME WAITING YOU HAVE TO WAIT SOME MORE!}

Please don’t ask me why, they just hate us, okay?

The install doesn’t normally take a while, so just wait for it.

Once it’s finished installing open it up and play :D,

THERE MAY BE AN ERROR

If so, check the maple story website for details on it.

Okay once you’re logged in you’ll have to create a pin number

NOTE: This is the most annoying part of the whole thing; you’ll sit there entering your pin for what feels like forever, but its okay, stick with it. YAY you’re finally in the game, log in and you’re set.

The Start

Okay, lets start here now that your all logged into maple story your probably thinking what next, well this is where the game starts to get really fun. Choose your server (my personal choice is Mardia or Bellocan, but its up to you)anyway once your in a server there will be a sign that asks you what if you want to create, delete,or Select a character, click create new character. create it how'd you like but remember you need to change your stats to read like this:

  • STR: 4
  • DEX: ?
  • INT: 4
  • LUK: ?

OR

  • STR: ?
  • DEX: ?
  • INT: 4
  • LUK: 4

NOTE: The question marks mean it can be anything

Although this isn't a mandatory step, it will make you a bit stronger then other bandits at your level. Once thats done input a name, check it and if it works out okay use it :D

NOTE: Don't talk to me, in game or not if your character has the word "poop" in it, or any other word referring to crap, sex, sexual organs, or Naruto (Naruto-thief names are used WAY TO OFTEN! Be a little original please?)

Now that thats out of the way, let's start on Maple Island.

The Quests

Even though other guides tell you its a waste of time doing all the starter quests it really isn't, if your a nub it's good practice, if your a pro, it reminds you of how weak you are, and keeps you from running into monsters too strong for your level group. Also it’s a good way to gain up a little EXP for only a small amount of work. So do as many as you can, even the orange mushroom ones, there not that hard, plus you lose no EXP for dying.

Training on Maple Island

Okay this is the fastest you'll ever level in maple story, and they have monsters that every class can kill with enough patience.

Level 1-5

You have no choice here unless you want your a** kicked

  1. Green Snails
  2. Blue Snails {If your up for a challenge}

Level 5-7

This is when you have a bit of choice on what to train on

  1. Green Snails
  2. Blue Snails
  3. Shrooms

Level 7-10

At these levels you have the most freedom, as you can basically train on anything you want to that's located on Maple Island

  1. Green Snails
  2. Blue Snails
  3. Shrooms
  4. Red Snails
  5. Orange Mushroom

Stats

For a bandit you have 2 choices a STR bandit and a Pure LUK bandit. To make a Pure LUK bandit is simple, just follow this guide below

  • STR: NONE
  • DEX: 25
  • INT: NONE
  • LUK: Every other point that you had other than the ones you put in DEX
  • Do not put any points in HP/MP

To make a STR bandit it's basically the same build, with one change. instead of using luk, put everything inside STR! it should look a little like this:

  • STR lvl-10 (lvl 30=20 str)
  • DEX 25
  • INT NONE
  • LUK Every point you dont spent in DEX or STR
  • AGAIN it is important that you put no points into you HP/MP

Okay, you’re done, this should be the end of Maple Island for you and if you're now level ten, take the boat from South Perry to Victoria Island, and from Lith Harbor on Victoria Island, go to Kerning.

Becoming a Rogue

Now that you're in Kerning City, you may be asking yourself why am I in what looks to be the grossest town ever invented, otherwise known as the Maple ghetto, well, that's simple. This is where you become a rogue. I know this may be a bit exciting for some of you creepy nubs, but don't worry, it'll be over quick. Go to the fusion bar, under neath the internet cafe place. If you have trouble finding it, ask someone; most of the time they'll be glad to help. Once inside, go down the stairs on the far left of the place, then go down them and talk to the guy. There, you’re a rogue.

Quests

This is the fastest way to level up, except by getting a party full of level 100 lighting ice mages and have them kill all the pigs at pig beach for you, if you can do that then well… good for you, the rest of us hate you. For everyone else do quests, or train.

Training

LEVEL 10-15 For this I wouldn't recommend fighting any more Orange Mushrooms because if you die, you'll lose EXP, and you will get KSed (Kill stealed) by every class that’s a higher level than you. I would recommend, however, that if you're not doing a quest, then you should train at the Henesys Hunting Ground. Although every other guide you'll read will say to train in a less occupied place, to get the real game experience you'll want to go to Henesys, that’s where you will make the most friends, and maybe a friend that will keep you play, even when the game gets a bit boring. If you're a pro, I guess you could train in Ellinia, to kill Stumps and Snails.

  1. Green Snails
  2. Blue Snails
  3. Shrooms
  4. Red Snails
  5. Slimes
  6. Low level event monsters
  7. Stumps

Level 15-21

I'd say you’re strong enough with a friend to train at pig beach, it'll be hard, but it is also very rewarding, and although the exp from snails sucks at this level, you can still train on them for about 1 level every like 20 hours, so they still are somewhat okay exp.

  1. Green Snails
  2. Blue Snails
  3. Shrooms
  4. Red Snails
  5. Slimes
  6. Low level event monsters
  7. Stumps
  8. Pigs
  9. Ribbon Pigs

YAY you made it to level 21, you are now officially better then most nubs (they don't normally make it past level 15)

Level 21 - 25

This is the part of the guide that is completely optional

  1. Red Snails
  2. Slimes
  3. Low level event monsters
  4. Jr. Neckis (If you're up for a challenge)
  5. Stumps
  6. Pigs
  7. Ribbon Pigs
  8. Green Mushrooms

Now snails are completely useless, except for the red ones, and that’s just if you’re in the mood for some really slow leveling, and when I say slow, I mean really slow leveling

Level 25 - 30

  1. Slimes
  2. Low level event monsters
  3. High level event monsters
  4. Jr. Neckis
  5. Stumps
  6. Pigs
  7. Ribbon Pigs
  8. Green Mushrooms
  9. Horny Mushrooms
  10. Zombie Mushrooms
  11. Wild Boars (another, if you're up for a challenge)
  12. Bubblings
  13. Blue Mushrooms

Now that you're finally to your second job advancement, I'm not sure how long it takes, because I have inaccurate idea of how long it takes (I was in a competition to reach level 30, the loser would have to pay for the others equips, I WON :D) anyway your a bandit now, switch to the becoming a bandit part of the guide, or just browse the party quest sections.

Kerning Party Quest

This is hard to get into because a large amount of people are always trying to get in, and it isn't easy to get on... most people reject the bandit, at first, because it is a version of a not very respected class (i.e. warrior), I've played as both classes, and warriors don't sux, they are actually my third favorite class :D. only being beaten by bowman, and bandit. but, im taking in they account of second and third jobs to, I’ve never been level 70, so I can't help much further then I get, actually... this guide will constantly be upgraded, changed, and all that junk to fit with what I'm doing with AuskaChan; okay on to the PQ :D Part 0 getting a party to let you join...

I hope you made some friends, a lot of friends, and most of them being mages; if not, you are so screwed. Because you'll have to wait another four levels before you can join in on any random PQ with out pure luck (meaning luck as in finding 20$ on the street without anyone there to claim it was there’s (not luk)). So let’s start:

Part 1

This part is hard, and then gets easier as you level increases, all you have to do is talk to the lady on the far right, she'll tell you how many Ligators you have to kill, then kill that certain amount of Ligators and collect tickets from them, once you have the amount of tickets you need, talk to her again, and you have a pass :D, give that pass to your leader and sit tight, the door will open soon enough :D

Part 2

This is where it gets kinda fun... if you find stupid puzzles fun >.> there are four hanging vines (act like ropes) yours and your parties job is to climb on them, basically that’s it, I mean you have to get the right combination of vines but that isn't hard, also: only three members of the party are to be on the vines at one time, this is the most noobish mistake new people make. Make most of the time the leader stays off. Once you finish this part your set, at least till the next room.

Part 3

This is almost the same as the last one, only instead of vines you have stumps with cats in them, although the cats are cute, ignore them, try to get the number one position (it's the stump with only 1 cat on it), but if you don't, the combination is this: Make sure to follow this order

  • 123
  • 124
  • 125
  • 134
  • 135
  • 145
  • 234
  • 235
  • 245
  • 345

One out of the 10 combinations will work, just go in the order listed. the leader will click the lady each time people move to a new stump/platform. after that is done, go on to the next stage :D

Part 4

Okay, this is the last stupid puzzle stage, then its back to fighting. n this room, walk up the path to the large pile of barrels, that’s easy, after your done with that all you have to do is try to get the number 1 position again, but if you don't, heres the list of order

  • 123
  • 124
  • 125
  • 126
  • 134
  • 135
  • 136
  • 145
  • 146
  • 156
    • 234
    • 235
    • 236
    • 245
    • 246
    • 256
      • 345
      • 346
      • 356
        • 456

This one has twenty combinations, and if your a noob at this, no-one will ever party with you, so don't mess up, well, yet again, after the right combination in found, the door will open and send you to the final stage

Final Stage

This is the boss "room" although it may not look like much at first; there are some nasty monsters down here,

This is a big job, hopefully you have at least one mage in your party, and maybe a high level assassin/bandit, if not, your screwed, cause it is damn near impossible to kill the slime king without them, you might as well leave. If you are a high level dit, then good luck, and I hope you bring plenty of Potions. Now that you've killed every monster, you can have a bit of fun, give all the passes to the leader, and work your way back up, after the "CLEAR" has been shown on your screen, click the lady on the right, NOT THE LEFT, she will bring you to the Bonus stage.

Bonus Stage

Now that you’re done, you’re in the bonus stage, and now your thinking what did I gain from this? Well, that’s an easy question, you got yourself a bunch of EXP and a nice prize to boot, although some prizes are better than others... It is recommended that you get out as soon as possible, as it is frowned upon when some people stay in there for long. Usually you send a spy that saves names of the people that are standing around. Then, you race back to the place where you were when you first entered, for a new PQ you can keep PQing till you reach level 31, which is awesome, but once you reach 30, that you get the advancement

Becoming a Bandit

To become a bandit, go back to Kerning, unless your already there, from there go back to the fusion bar, yes, the place where you became a thief. Talk to the Dark Lord again, and he'll give you a ticket letting you take the second job advancement test. now that you have it, go two maps to the west, climb the construction until you see a thief looking character, talk to him, and say yes to all his questions. Kill the monsters around you until you get 30 black marbles. Once you do, talk to the guy up top, he'll give you a letter of approval, and all you have to do is go back to the Dark Lord down in fusion bar. Talk to him, and he'll ask you what you want to be; if you choose bandit, then stick with this guide; if you choose assassin, then find another one, this won't be of use to you any more. Congratulations You are now a bandit!

• Assassins PLEASE GO AWAY RIGHT NOW, THIS IS NOT THE GUIDE FOR YOU
