Introduction

Have any recommendations? Contact me in-game on GMS:

  • IGN: justintime6
  • Class: Blaze Wizard
  • Level: 4x
  • Server: Bera

- Seeing as this is my first guide, I'm open to suggestions. I'm working on the guide as I level.

Stats

  • Starting Stats:
    • STR = 4
    • DEX = 4
    • INT = xx
    • LUK = xx

Your stats should look like this when starting, as you have no need for STR and DEX. However for GlobalMS now THERE IS NO DICE ROLL, the stats are already laid out for you as 12 STR and 5 DEX. You may mess up your stats and keep on adding STR to complete the island faster, then when you get your job your stats get reset and you can press the auto-assign button to assign your stats to the normal thief/warrior/magician/bowman/pirate stats or you may alter it yourself by making yourself DEX/LUK/STRless or semi-DEX/LUK/STRless.

-There's usually 3 main ways you can do your stats. There's the normal luck build, the lukless build, and a semi-lukless build.

  • Normal LUK:
    • STR = 4
    • DEX = 4
    • INT = xx
    • LUK = Level + 3

Reason: Having your LUK at this level will allow you to equip the latest gear. It's also the cheapest build to use.

  • LUKless:
    • STR = 4
    • DEX = 4
    • INT = xx
    • LUK = 4

Reason: Having no LUK means you won't be able to use normal magician gear. However, there is alternative gear you can use and you'll be able to dish out lots of damage. Not recommended for starting players.

  • Semi-LUKless:
    • STR = 4
    • DEX = 4
    • INT = xx
    • LUK = Whatever you want it

Reason: Capping your LUK at a certain level and adding the rest to INT will allow you to deal more damage. You'll do more damage than a LUK wizard but you'll do less damage than a pure LUKless wizard. You can use certain LUK gear but not for long. Again, not recommended for starting players.

Creating your Cygnus Knight

  • For you people who haven't created your Cygnus Knight yet, here's a quick rundown of how it goes.
    • 1 - Have a normal character that is at least Level 20 or above.
    • 2 - Once you get to Level 20, you'll see the Cygnus Knight Trailer. Afterwards, you'll receive a message from Neinheart.
    • 3 - If you click accept, you'll be transported to the island of Ereve.
    • 4 - You'll talk to a giant bird whether you click him or not. He'll ask if you want to make a Cygnus Knight. Click Accept.
    • 5 - After clicking accept, you'll see a character creation screen for your Cygnus Knight. Make a character like you would normally.
    • 6 - After creating your character, log off and log back in. You should see your new Knight good and ready. =)

Starting your Journey as a Noblesse

Starting off is actually quite simple. Just do all the quests you can see and you should be level 10 in no time.

Common Beginner Skills

Icon Skill Name Description Type Mastered Cooldown
Link Manager.png Link Manager Allows you to manage your Link Skills, either by sharing with other characters on your account, or by choosing which skills to use on this character. Active 1 -
Nebulite Fusion.png Nebulite Fusion N/A Active 1 -
Blessing of the Sprite.png Blessing of the Fairy Grants 1 skill level for every 10 levels your highest level character has. Between Blessing of the Fairy and Empress's Blessing, the higher increase is applied. Passive 20 -
Empress's Blessing.png Empress's Blessing For every 5 levels on your highest level Cygnus Knight or Mihile character, this skill will gain 1 Skill Point. Blessing of the Fairy and Empress's Blessing do not stack, so only the stronger skill will be active. This skill can reach a max of Level 30, based on your Cygnus Knight or Mihile character's Noble Mind skill. Passive 30 -
Echo of Hero.png Echo of Hero Increase weapon attack and magic attack on all players around. (Only obtainable at level 200.) Supportive 1 2 Hours

Noblesse

Icon Skill Name Description Type Mastered Terms Between Skills
Elemental Harmony.png Elemental Harmony Use the harmony of nature to build affinity for an element of your choosing. Passive 1 -
Elemental Shift.png Elemental Shift Jump in any direction except down by pressing a direction key and jump in midair. Supportive 3 10 Min
Cygnus Blessing.png Cygnus Blessing The blessing of the awakened empress empowers the body to escape from danger. Passive 2 -
Elemental Slash.png Elemental Slash Attack enemies in front of you with pure, primal energy. Active 1 -
Elemental Expert.png Elemental Expert Become an expert of the elements to free you from elemental restrictions on all your skills. Passive 1 -
Imperial Recall.png Imperial Recall Return to the Empress using Shinsoo's power. Supportive 1 30 minutes
Noble Mind.png Noble Mind Enhances Empress's Blessing effects Passive 6 -

Honestly, Noblesse skills don't matter much. I put my points into Three Snails and Nimble Feet, although they would be replaced by Magic Claw and Teleport in the future. You may put your starter points into any skill you want although I recommend you max Three Snails as it is very useful from levels 1-13.

Becoming a Blaze Wizard

Once you reach Level 10, return to Neinheart and he'll tell you to speak to the Chief Knights to choose your job. Talk to Oz and she'll ask you if you want to become a Blaze Wizard. Click Accept and congratulations, you're now a Blaze Wizard in training =) You'll obtain 1 SP and a new Training Knight Medal, which I recommend you equip for the +50 HP and MP bonus.

Skills of a Blaze Wizard

Icon Skill Name Description Type Mastered Element Prerequisites
MP Boost.gif MP Boost Permanently increases your Max MP. Passive 10 x -
Magic Guard.gif Magic Guard Damage dealt to you affects your MP instead of your HP. If your MP reaches 0, you HP take the full amount of damage. Supportive 15 x -
Magic Armor.gif Magic Armor Condenses magic into armor for a period of time to increase DEF. Supportive 15 x Magic Guard Level 3
Magic Claw.png Magic Claw Continuously attacks enemies in front of you while consuming MP. Active 20 Fire -
Fsummon.png Flame Summons a spirit to attack nearby monsters. Active 20 Fire -

By Level 30, you're actually able to max most of your skills. I recommend putting your first point into Improving Max MP Increase. I know it'll only give you a bit of MP, but you should level to 14 really fast, especially if you added points into Three Snails. If you don't really want Improving Max MP Increase but instead an attack, you might want to put a point into Magic Claw. Blaze Wizard's Magic Claw differs from normal Magicians because of the fact that their Magic Claw is actually Fire Elemental. Here's the SP Build I recommend:

  • Level 10-13: 3 Improved Max MP Increase (Maxed)
  • Level 14: 2 Magic Claw (2), 1 Flame Sprite (1)
  • Level 15-20: 3 Magic Claw (Maxed)
  • Level 21-26: 3 Flame Sprite (19)
  • Level 27: 1 Flame Sprite (Maxed), 2 Magic Guard (2)
  • Level 28 & 29: 3 Magic Guard (8)
  • Level 30: 2 Magic Guard (Maxed), 1 Magic Armor (1)

At lower levels, Magic Guard is not really necessary at all. You're better off maxing Flame Sprite first, since the sprite does help a little bit when you're fighting. Magic Armor is almost completely useless, don't even bother maxing it.

Training Spots for the Trainee Wizard

Any suggestions for leveling spots that don't involve questing would be nice.

  • Levels 10-13: Just continue to finish your training quests at Ereve. Finish all the quests in Ereve before you leave to Victoria Island. I actually got to 14 when I finished all my quests.
  • Levels 14-24: Continue your Cygnus Knight quests. They should take you all the way to about level 23 or 24. Once you finish the Ellinia quests, you may try Horny Mushrooms in Ant Tunnel if you have a maxed out Magic Claw and maybe a decent level in Magic Guard.
  • Levels 25-30: You should be able to do the Perion and Sleepywood Cygnus Knight quests around these levels. The Perion quests are quite dull, but the Sleepywood quests aren't that bad mostly because of the fact that training on Zombie Mushrooms and Horny Mushrooms are good exp. If you don't really want to do these quests, KPQ is really good exp around these levels, but King Slime could be hard to fight unless you have a decent Magic Guard.

Advancing into an Official Blaze Wizard

Congratulations for reaching this part of the guide (unless you're reading instead of leveling.) because you just reached level 30! Head to Ereve and talk to Nienheart or Oz (correct me on this) and they'll ask if you want to advance. Click Accept then head over to the Drill Hall. Go through the portal on the 2nd floor and you'll end up in a room full of Tigurus. They're slightly stronger, but they should be easy to kill at your level. You need to collect 30 Proof of Exams from these Tigurus, then head back to Oz to become an official Blaze Wizard!

Skills of an Official Wizard

Icon Skill Name Description Type Mastered Element Prerequisites
Meditation.gif Meditation Through meditation, you temporarily enhance the Magic Attack of all party members nearby. Supportive 20 x -
Spell Mastery.png Spell Mastery Increases Magic Mastery and Magic Attack. Passive 20 x -
High Wisdom.png High Wisdom Permanently increase INT through mental discipline. Passive 10 x -
Slow.gif Slow Temporarily slows the movement of up to 6 monsters. Cannot be used on the same monsters more than twice in a row. Supportive 10 x Teleport Lv. 5
Fire Arrow.png Fire Arrow Creates and shoots a Fire Arrow at an enemy. Especially effective against Ice Attribute monsters. Active 20 Fire -
Teleport.gif Teleport Allows you to teleport a set distance to other locations on the same map using the arrow keys. Supportive 20 x -
Magic Booster.gif Magic Booster Increases Magic Attack Speed for set duration. Supportive 20 x -
Elemental Reset.PNG Elemental Reset Temporarily decreases the magic attributes of all attacks that you use. Supportive 10 x -
Meteor.png Fire Pillar Detonates multiple explosions near you, attacking multiple enemies. Active 20 Fire -

Now this is when you get all your cool skills! Elemental Reset and Fire Pillar are the new skills available to 2nd Job Blaze Wizards. They're incredibly useful, Elemental Reset making your fire attacks not so...fire-like and Fire Pillar, a mob attack that's actually available to a Fire/Poison type character! You lose out on some skills though, such as MP Eater and the not-so-important Poison Breath.

  • This build is the one I'm currently using. Around the mid 40s, Elemental Reset should be very useful in CPQ if you decide to do CPQ for training. I'm working on it, so it's not completely done.
  • Level 30-36: Fire Pillar (19)
  • Level 37: Fire Pillar (Maxed) Elemental Reset (1)
  • Level 38-44: Elemental Reset (19)
  • Level 45: Elemental Reset (Maxed) Meditation (1)
