Note: Korean MapleStory also has a world named Bera. This article is for the Global MapleStory Bera, and should not be confused with the Korean world.

Bera is the second world to have been introduced on Global MapleStory, not so long after Scania. Ever since its release in 2005, it has held the title of the second most populous server on GMS for 5 consecutive years (as of 2010). Though its economy as not as strong, and its population not as big as the preceding world, it still has a fairly high traffic. It is, however, not difficult to access it at peak times, although it does occasionally fill up. It is uncommon for the population on channels other than the first to go past 3/4. Being one of the most popular worlds, it is hard to get into party quests.

In 2007 the server suffered from some of the same problems as Scania, due to overpopulation. But with the release of Mardia, most of these problems vacated the server.
