Welcome to my Aran guide. This guide will teach you how to add the skills for Aran, as well as training spot for Aran. If you want to read about the history of Aran, click here.
Aran makes use of Combo system. Most skills require combos to be used. The more combo your Aran does, the more powerful you will become.
Legend
- You will start off as a Legend when you created an Aran.
- The skills are the same as the Beginner skills.
- The first few quests are easy and you will be able to reach Level 10 in no time.
1st Job
Advancing to 1st Job
- You need to be at least Level 10.
- Start the quest The Five Heroes with Lirin.
- Click on the Giant Pole Arm found above a group of penguins next to Lirin.
- Advance to 1st job.
1st Job Skills
These are the following skills you will use when you advance to 1st job.

Double Swing
Main article: Double Swing
- This is your first aggressive skill you will use.
- You can obtained this skill when you advance to 1st job.
- This skill can only be used when you press the 'Attack' key twice.
Combat Step
Main article: Combat Step
- This is your first of the two skills you will use.
- You can obtained this skill when you advance to 1st job.
- It allows you to move forward quickly.
- If you use it when moving down a slope or near an edge of the platform, you will move very far.
- This skill is used by pressing the 'Combat Step' key or by tapping the directional key twice.
Combo Ability
Main article: Combo Ability
- This is the third skill you will receive.
- You can obtained this skill when you complete the quest Keep Training! 3 (Level 10 quest).
- This enables the Combo system.
- Your weapon attack, weapon and magic defense increases every 10 combo counts you make.
- When combo counts reach 100, those stats will stop increasing.
Polearm Booster
Main article: Polearm Booster (Aran)
- This is the fourth skill you will receive.
- You can obtained this skill when you complete the quest Puppeteer's Warning (Level 22 quest).
- The moving speed of your Pole Arm will increase.
- The higher the level, the longer it will be at this speed.

1st Job Training Spot
There are many monsters out there for you to train. You can also do quests. There are many Aran quests out there waiting for you to complete to level up quick when you are at 1st job.
- Level 10 to 13 - Do the quest Keep Training! 1 until the quest Keep Training! 3, you will level up once everytime you completed one of them.
- Level 13 to 20 - Pig, Ribbon Pig
- Level 15 to 30 - Ghost Stump, Smirking Ghost Stump, Green Mushroom, Dejected Green Mushroom
- Level 20 to 30 - Horned Mushroom, Zombie Mushroom
- Level 20 to 30 - Kerning PQ
- Level 25 to 30 - Evil Eye (Cave of Evil Eye I, avoid Jr. Boogie)
2nd Job
Advancing to 2nd Job
- You need to be at least Level 30.
- Talk to Lirin in Rien.
- Talk to Maha next to the Giant Pole Arm.
- Talk to Lirin again.
- Head to Mirror Cave, located at the far west of the town.
- Enter the portal in front of the ice.
- Talk to Sir Blacksmith there.
- Head to the next map and gather 30 Sign of Acceptance from Scarred Bear.
- Give the items to Sir Blacksmith.
- Head back to Rien and talk to Maha.

Triple Swing
Main article: Triple Swing
- Your first aggressive skill you will receive when you advance to 2nd job.
- Press the 'Attack' key three times to activate this skill.
Body Pressure
Main article: Body Pressure
- A power-up skill you will receive when you advance to 2nd job.
- When you use it, every monster you come contact with will be hit, at a percentage of your Damage (5% at level 1)
- At certain percent chance (20% at lv 1) the monster will be unable to hit anyone with their touch damage
- Note from GMS player: Crucial to save HP pots and for easy survival in the CPQ, as most monsters in the CPQ can be affected and only two can use unique attacks. Recommended to put at least 1 SP into the skill before doing the CPQ.
Polearm Mastery
Main article: Polearm Mastery
- This increases the mastery of the Pole Arm, as well as adding your accuracy.
- Essential for a 4th job skill High Mastery.
- You need to complete the quest Gather Up a Strange Info (Level 31) to get this skill.
Combo Drain
Main article: Combo Drain
- This absorbs the monster's HP when you attack.
- When you reach 30 combo counts, press 'Down', 'Down' and the 'Attack' key to use it.
- You need to complete the quest Seal Stone of Victoria Island (Level 37) to get this skill.
Combo Smash
Main article: Combo Smash
- This is the most powerful skill for 2nd job.
- When you reach 30 combo counts, press 'Down', the direction key you are facing and the 'Attack' key to use it.
- You need to complete the quest The Stolen Seal Stone of Orbis (Level 45) to get this skill.
- Note from GMS player: This skill is often considered overpowered because you can hit over 5k damage by level 50 without even maxing it (still recommended that you do so, however)
Final Charge
Main article: Final Charge
- This skill allows you to push the monsters to one side.
- After you use Triple Swing, press the direction key and then the 'Attack' key.
- This skill is useful to lure the monster to one spot.
- It increases the combo counts faster with lower damage.
- When monsters are lured to one side, using the combo counts gathered to use Combo Smash to kill them quickly.
- You need to complete the quest The Lost Seal Stone of Mu Lung (Level 54) to get this skill.

- Level 35 to 38 - Hunting Ground in the Deep Forest II (Curse Eye)
- Level 38 to 45 - Sleepy Dungeon III (Cold Eye, need change channel often, few people training here, low avoidability.)
- Level 45 to 55 - Suburban Area 2 (Trucker, crowded during 2x experience event.)
- Level 31 to 50 - Monster Carnival (Get Spiegelmann's Necklace and The Nine Dragons.)
- Level 43 to 50 - Muddy Banks 1 (Chlorotrap, Emo Slime)
- Level 48 to 52 - Mysterious Path 1 (Tippo Red, Tippo Blue, not many people train here.)
- Level 52 to 60 - Muddy Banks 2 (Dark Fission, Oly Oly)
- Level 59 to 65 - Hibiscus Road 2 (Scaredy Scarlion, Ratatula)
- Level 63 to 70 - Mysterious Path 3 (Selkie Jr., Slimy, rapid spawn, high experience, crowded with people)
- Level 63 to 70 - Ghost Ship 2 (Slimy, crowded with people)
- Level 68 to 70 - Ghost Ship 6 (Mr. Anchor, crowded during 2x experience event.)
- Level 51 to 70 - Monster Carnival Season 2
