On July 6th, 2012, the El Nido Server joined a Server Alliance with the [[Galicia]], [[Arcania]], [[Zenith]], [[Demethos]] servers. These servers will share the same playing world (Players from all 5 worlds will play with each other) but players are allowed to make characters on all the servers, which means people will have quintuple the amount of players for that world. All the characters are still separated by worlds, so the rankings won't change. The number of channels has been increased to 20. | |||

Demethos (known as Demethus as of patch 0.88) is the tenth server of MapleGlobal. It was released on November 12, 2008 along with the arrival of Pirates.
At the time of release (as with all new servers), it faced an explosion of popularity. However following Christmas 2x events, the population all but died. Throughout 2009, the server frequently faced a scarceness of new players, and this generally effected moral of older players. Various users held events to try to lure in new players, but they mostly went unnoticed. It currently has the third-lowest population in all of GMS, surpassing only Kradia and Yellonde. Despite being petite, Demethos has a friendly community, slightly comparable to Khaini's.
