Crates often contain a few mesos and a potion.

Much like there are Super Jr. Neckis found in the Jump Quests of Victoria Island, or Tutorial Jr. Sentinels found on Maple Island for the new players to practice on, the crates seen in different locations may be seperate objects simply sharing the same graphic.

For example, when doing the quest Find The Maple History Book, you can only find Maple History Book I in the crate located in the cabin of the airship that takes you to Orbis. So pay attention to the quest instructions, and make sure you're attacking the right crates!
