The Crossbow man
2nd job,finally!(:
You started off as a not so strong archer,but now...it is time to look forward to new skills and explore new places.
It's a good choice-crossbow is stronger than your average bow,and Iron Arrow is cooler than Arrow Bomb(if so I say to myself).
40 levels will fly by before you know it, so jyjy!
Training areas
Lvl 30-35
Avoid areas with great amount of monsters,especially mobs like Jr.Cellions,which jump all over you and give you no chance to attack. Bowmen have ranged attacks,so make sure there is plenty of space for you to show off your strength. Iron Arrow should still be quite weak at this point. Horned mushrooms and zombie mushrooms are the best you can get.(when you can one-hit them)
Lvl 35-40
Mcs now,as they supply a reasonable amount of exp and give weapons in exchange for Maple Coins. However, bowmen are not a popular choice for mcs. Partying up with your buddies could help a lot. Switch between mcing and killing Ratz in Eos Tower.
Lvl 40-45
Ludibrium Party Quest may require plenty of time,if it is not filled with high-levelled members.Also,it can be frustrating to try to clear the stages at first attempt, from my experience. On the plus side, you can improve your teamwork skills and make new buddies :D
Lvl 45-50
Straw target dummies will be great for STR-less crossbow men, and it might be time to do some questing.Some quests offer great rewards such as scrolls, so be sure to look out for these.
Lvl 50-60
FOG (Forest of Golems) in Sleepywood for Stone Golems and Mixed Golems.The spawn rate is pretty fast around here. Be sure to stock up on pots, though.
Try out the latest version of the Monster Carnival - MC 2 - it's available for maplers of levels 51-70. MCing is tough at first but stick around...you'll find experience comes fast and time is saved. Each MC lasts for a period of 10 minutes. Rush mcs will only take 5, with the compromise of 2 parties to alternate wins.
Lvl 60-70
Orbis Full Party Quests (FPQs) give decent exp and equipment, and are pretty fun once you get the hang of it. Alternatively, explore Maplestory and do some questing.
Job Change:Sniper
Once level 70, Go to El Nath - Chief Residence and speak to Rene. After talking to Rene, head back to Victoria Island and talk to Athena Pierce which is located in Henesys. Next, find the Door of Dimension located at Sleepy Dungeon V and it'll bring you to "The Path of the Glittering Crystal". Walk until the end of the path and enter the portal to defeat the wiseman's dark side to obtain the Black Charm.
Return to Athena Pierce and exchange the Black Charm for a Necklace of Strength. Return to El Nath after that and give the item to Rene. Head on to the Holy Ground at the Snowfield (Sharp Cliff II). 1 Dark Crystal is requirred to answer 5 questions to obtain the Necklace of Wisdom. Again, head back to Rene in El Nath and give her the Necklace of Wisdom.
