A General Guide To MapleStory!
From the different versions of MapleStory, prices vary. However, the gist of merchanting remains the same. You don't need mesos to make mesos. You do however, need time.
If you are of a low level, don't worry, there is something for you.
From level 1-21, just save all your ores, there isn't a lot you can do for now. Once you reach level 21 however, go to Kerning Party Quest, there are faster ways to level but I in my version of MapleStrory (EU) none are as good for making mesos. You may get Overall Dexterity 10% scroll. You will get lots of earings. You will get lots of ores! Ores are good, ores are you freind becuase, people will buy these! There is a skill called maker, and at some point most people will need to buy ores for this. They will also buy ores for quests, or making plates and such-like.
That will take you to level 30. Level 30 is your benchmark, this is where advance to your new job! Exciting stuff! You may now have the Carnival Party Quest available to you (CPQ). This is your lovely nest-egg. This will provide you with fast and effeciant leveling speeds and a good oppurtunity to level without spending any money on pots at all. You may now wonder how this party quest will gain you those precious mesos?
- They will drop Coins - You can exchange the Coins for items - You will get the weapon you need for level 40 and 50, meaning you don't have to buy any - You will get a Speigelmans Necklace. - You will scroll the necklace and hopefully get 90/90 - You will repeat this process so you have two - You can sell the latter, and what extra weapons you can get.
That is not all, in between doing that party quest, other quests will become available, there are many, but I will name only a few.
- New Leaf City Center Gloves For Attack Quest. Go into big ben, and go right to the bottom of the entrance, there is a man there with a whip, complete is quests at level 35. No matter which version of MapleStory you play, this scroll is always worth a good ammount of mesos!
- Protecting Eos Tower! If you complete all of these quests you will get another Gloves For Attack Scroll!
!! - TIP: ALWAYS CHECK PRICES IN THE FREE-MARKET BEFORE YOU SELL! - !!
You should by now be level 51. Right now, I strongly reccomend grinding. There are ways to make mesos, but these levels are not that good for making money. You have wish to take part in Orbis Party Quest, the rewards are average, Not great. It also takes a long time to complete, often it is hard to find a party. I do not reccomend this, I recommend getting out of these levels fast! Go for level 70!
But while you are stuck in level 51-70, go to Forest of Gollems in Sleepywood Dungeon. They drop a lot of mesos, which should more than cover you potion expenditure, they also drop Gloves for Attack and many useful Equipment drops which you can sell. (They also drop Dark Crystals which you need x10 for your level 70 job advancement)
!! - TIP: DRUM BUNNIES DROP RED WHIPS AND DARK CRYSTALS VERY OFTEN, GOOD WAY TO GO! - !!
Other than this, go to Singapore, mesos are good, and you will get a few steely drops which are always worth a few mil, it's not great, like I said, but things could be worse... You could be playing WoW!
Level 70! Hell yes! You did it! For now, go to Pirates Den in Herb Town, (Orbis>MuLung>HerbTown) they have good exp, drop a lot of mesos and a lot of good items including Scarabs which are the levle 70 theif claw. If you get one of a good Statistic then you are in the mint!
Hopefully you are now level 75!... If you are strong enough, go to The Wolf Spiders and hunt the ilbi's! If you are not that strong however, then stay at Ghost Pirates, they may look meaner, but they are slower and weaker, and it gives you more time to use pots and such-like. They drop the Omega Spear, which is a good drop, they drop good mesos, and they also drop a lot of ect which sells well at the NPC. They also drop a variety of mid-level'd items, not many people hunt here, so if you get enough of these Equipment drops, you will have the capital. People will buy from you because nobody else gets these drops! It's good!
Now, grind for a while, sell your old equipments, whatever you used before that you don't use now, sell! Merchant hardcore for a while and stop leveling. When you make enough money, powergrind your way to level 100! You won't regret it! Level 100 is your benchmark of being a pro. When you are level 100, I strongly reccomend Birks. They are a monster in Leafre and they drop a lot of level 100 weapons that sell VERY well all the time.
That's it for now, you won't any NX to do this, it maybe slow but it WORKS! So if you have no other choice, do this! It's good! But you gotta work hard!
!! - ALWAYS COMPLETE ALL THE EVENTS, OFTEN THERE ARE MONEY MAKING OPPURTUNITIES - !!
Kind regards & best wishes / Alex O'Connor [NPFenix]
