Question

What happened yesterday? Why couldn't i login and it says internet explorer could not display the webpage. I tried other websites but it worked properly. Anyway, i found out something, Stephen of MapleTip is probably Life. Yongjianrong 23:47, 13 June 2008 (UTC)

Same. I thought my computer was messed up or something. Usually MapleWiki goes down when MapleTip is down, but MapleTip was fine. Stephen hasn't said anything about it, so it shouldn't be more than just maintenance. And yes, Stephen = Life. --Dthvirus 23:59, 13 June 2008 (UTC)

Categories

Hey - I was trying to add Hyper Glyphs to the quest item Category under the etc items. i dont think i did it right, but now im confused, is this category for items that only drop when you have an open quest, or are these just etc drops that happened to be used for quests, and if so, then why do we have a seperate category under Quests for quest items? it is two different pages, do we need them both? help!!! ty, TVO

• Also - can you set up a category for NPCs, and maybe one for stores, including scroll-sellers, there doesnt seem to be a lot of info available about that. ty :)

I'd add it to the Quests subcategory, since it drops from a quest. Plant Sample should go there too. The ones in Etc. are items obtained from a quest. As for Star Rock and Moon Rock, they should be in the Refined Jewels and Refined Minerals categories, respectively. I'll check if we already have a category for NPCs/stores/scrolls, then make one if we don't. --Dthvirus 16:04, 6 May 2008 (CDT)

• Thanks, if you know anyway to upload info from a spreadsheet without losing the format, Please let me know. Really, i just copied and pasted, since i can only upload pictures. I guess I was asking if there was a difference between items that just drop, like red snail shells, and items that only drop when you have a certain quest, like the animal/plant fossils or the stump's tear, or the fish DNA's for Kenta's Research. Also, I dont think Moon Rock and Star Rock belong in Refined materials, since they dont have any ores? but wherever you think they belong.....Also, i noticed there are categories for NPCs in some towns, but they are sadly very empty...This wiki needs some serious improvement with maps/Npcs :( ty TVO

I think it only retains formatting among Microsoft products; not in text boxes. Maybe there's a way to get it into HTML? Wiki supports some HTML formatting with tables and such. Moon Rock and Star Rocks are made indirectly by using ores, so there they should stay. I'm working on the scroll-sellers (make the pages if needed, then categorize) right now, as a category of stores. I'll get to the NPCs soon, however. --Dthvirus 16:38, 6 May 2008 (CDT)

• also, if you want something to do...;) i think we need a lot more links on the main page. go there and see how many links you have to go through to find the page for Tobi, or for Pi, or for red snail shells...I know there is a search function, but a user can't use the search if they don't know the name they are looking for...and a lot of times people just like to browse...TVO

Can you reinstate KeroGero, I am not sure why he was ever banned, he did a lot to help edit the wiki and was good at doing it too. I don't know if he will come back, but can you reinstate him? or at least give an explanation as to why he was blocked? ty :) TVO

I have no idea why he was blocked. MapleTip blocked him for inserting false information, yet he claims he did no such thing. His contributions look good. I will unblock him, but keep an eye on him. --Dthvirus 16:30, 7 May 2008 (CDT)

unneccesary pages

What is MapleTip's stance on pages such as Mateons and Plateons, which have no links and contain no content, except a redirect to another page. should these pages just be deleted, or kept open for the sole purpose of redirecting?(Torder 14:57, 9 May 2008 (CDT))

I'd keep them. People might type it plural for various reasons. Unless we need the page for something else, the page should stay. --Dthvirus 15:01, 9 May 2008 (CDT)

Animations

I suggest that maybe you should have more animation attacks in the database for each monster. For example, Lupin throws his bananas. You should state how he does it and state whether its a long ranged/short ranged magic attack. You can use hidden-street.net for this kind of animation Ttang 2:16, 6 June 2006 (EST) GMT-5
