The dawn before life
Maplestropolis
Many, many years ago, there was a planet known as Maplestropolis, located deep within the Victorian Galaxy. Just like the other twenty-seven planets in its solar system, it was merely an uninhabitable slab of rock. A thick atmosphere surrounded the planet, containing deadly gases that would instantly suffocate any organism that tried to arrive at this barren wasteland. Fortunately, it would not stay like this for much longer. Several millions of years later, a catastrophic disaster occured, which devastated the planet. However, this led to new life that would forever change the face of this planet.
Catastrophe
An asteroid from the nearby Ludibria Galaxy, code-named MPLSTY-06, unexpectedly escaped into the Victorian Galaxy, heading towards Maplestropolis. What happened next was inevitable âthe asteroid crashed directly into the planet, creating a force that violently rocked nearby planets out of their orbit. The impact created an explosion that could be heard millions of miles away. The extreme force of the impact crippled the planet, causing two large sections to seperate from it. These two sections went into the planet's orbit, and would later be known as the mystical lands of Orbis and Maple Island. The impact was so great that the remnants of the asteroid and Maplestropolis fused together, creating a much larger planet. It was now capable of sustaining life, and would become a planet that could support thousands of different organisms.
It all begins
Life on Maplestropolis
As this planet was young and life had just began, only small organisms were found on the new Maplestropolis. Small snails, mushrooms and other small creatures roamed the planet, while vegetation was beginning to grow as well. Small fish, Umtis, Lorangs roamed the sea, living in peace and harmony. For many years, this continued. As the planet became more developed, increasingly diverse organisms and species roamed Maplestropolis. There was a wide range of different animals, anything from a Baby Red Drake to an Un-Doomed Flounder. Everything was living happily together, and it seems as if the story could end right here. However, things would not remain like this forever. In the distance, a Giraffe noticed storm clouds approaching. Perhaps this was a warning, and that he and his family should take precaution. Thinking it was just a regular storm cloud, he ignored it and continued with his business. Little did he know that danger was just around the corner.
Tensions Arise
At first, all of the species had lived together peacefully on Maplestropolis. However, peaceful relations soon began to diminish between them. They split up into two groups, the Pacifiers and the Rebellists. The Pacifiers were of course, peaceful. They aimt to keep Maplestropolis a friendly and welcoming planet.
The Rebelists, nevertheless, had other plans. The monsters in this group had been living in the dense forests located in the centre of Victoria Island. The lack of sun-light in this area affected their minds, and as each day progressed, the monsters slowly became evillier and deadlier.
Finally, the Pacifiers could not take it any longer. They had to drive the Rebelists off this planet before they became even more deadlier. The Pacifier King, John Shroom VI, called all male members of the Pacifiers for a meeting to decide what they should do with the Rebelists.
âWelcome, fellow Pacifiers. We are here today to decide what we should do with the Rebelists. Any suggestions?
âHow about eating them? âasked a balding mushroom.
âMistre, this is a group of powerful rebels, not an «all that you can eat» buffet! Now, any other suggestions?
âWhy do we defeat not them by war? âstated a dwarve.
âHmm... War, eh? That does not seem like a bad idea. Let us begin organising an army...
The meeting went on for several more hours, with intense planning involved. They decided that Sir Wilfrid Gollem, a friend of King Shroom VI, would be chief of the army. The Pacifiers then went home and got ready, bracing for war against the Rebellists.
