~UltimateDawn's Guide to: The Dawn Warrior/Soul Master~

Introduction

Information About my guide: I made this guide strictly from MY own experiences with this class, and I did not use any guides from any other site. Please, don't copy this guide and post it as your own. Nobody likes a copycat.

Q) What is a Dawn Warrior? What is a Soul Master? A) They are the same exact thing, depending on were you play (Called Dawn Warrior in GMS), and are basically a class under what is known as the Knight of Cygnus (KOC, KoC, K.O.C., K.o.C.). Q) Why should I make a Dawn warrior/Soul master?

INFO

A) Well, if you take a liking to the warrior class, or any close-ranged class, then you should consider. However, Dawn warriors get unique long-ranged, elementally based attack. The element that the dawn warrior takes on is "Soul", which is the same as holy (alike paladin's holy/divine charge). These soul-based ranged attacks make dawn warriors great for people who are new to warriors, as they are alike mage AoE(Area of Effect), or attacks were you stand in the same place and use an attack without moving (Genesis, Vampire, etc). This class is a great transition class for people wanting to try a warrior without adapting to new skills and techniques right away.

Q) What special skills to Dawn warriors get that are unalike other classes?

A) They get a large percent of the basic warrior skills in 1st job ( Power strike, Slash blast, etc), but replacing the other useless hp skills ( excluding max hp gain ), they get a summon. This summon does not appear as a buff in the top right corner, however. So once used, it cannot be removed unless you log off or wait for it to expire. 1st job gives them one of the only mobbing moves available in the game up until level 30 (Slash Blast). At 2nd job, you are given mastery skills, booster, and two very special skills that begin to give the dawn warrior a fun feel to it. Soul Blade, a mobbing move attacking up to 5 enemies at once and using a soul-based element. Great move, makes training fast and easy. And, they get a flash-jump like move called "Soul Rush". This is good for traveling, and makes it a little bit more fun. It is advised that you jump-cast (press jump key and skill at the same time) so that you travel farther. 3rd job gives you a ton of skills. See the 3rd job guide.

3rd Job

~Grats, level 70. This is quite an achievement. Give yourself a pat on the back for your hours of grinding and hard work :)

~Good Skill Layout, it made things easy to train. However, you can mix it up, but its not advised that you do so. I added 1 point into combo and soul charge at level 71. I regret it, as it was a waste of sp. Just discard the boredom of Soul Driver in the lower levels, as it is more fun when level 16+.

-As you may have seen, I put a * on levels 100 and 110. The reason I did this was to make sure that you (the reader) know that at this level, in order to obtain the skill Brandish or Advanced Combo Attack, you have go to do a quest that involves you doing a job-advancement sort of thing. Only this time, your slaying a boss of choice, I believe (Level 100 you get Brandish after the completion of the quest, and 110 is Advanced Combo Attack's quest). Remember that KoC DO NOT get a 4th job, and that they have a max level of 120.

Leveling Guide

Alright, so I'm sure you did one of two things; looked at the skill guide or skipped right to this guide. This is a very fast leveling guide if you are a PATIENT person.

Lets start with a quick, not-so detailed guide for 1-120

  • Levels 1-13 >>> Do the freaking leveling quests at Ereve
  • Levels 14-29 >> Grind a little inbetween levels, do ALL KoC quests.
  • Levels 29-30 >> You can do some grinding at "Cave of Mushroom" mini dungeon, or KPQ.
  • Levels 31-51 >> CPQ1 (Monster Carnival Party Quest 1) all the way, LPQ or grind on some truckers.
  • Levels 52-55 >> LMPQ (Ludibrium Maze Party quest) or do some quests ( Ludi, NLC, etc).
  • Levels 56-70 >> MP3 (Mysterious Path 3 in Singapore), Vodoos Windraiders, CPQ2, or C-2.

OR ( FOR RICH FRABS)

  • Levels 65+ >> Buy a twisted jester leech if your rich, go 2x or maybe 4x exp!

CONTINUING NORMAL GUIDE

  • Level 71-85 >>> Twisted Jesters, Scarlion Boopers, Typhons, etc.
  • Levels 86-90 >> You can attempt to Goby in Aqua roads trenches, great exp.
  • Levels 91-105+ > Himes (Dreamy Ghosts) with a good partner (Priest or Bishop).
  • Levels 106-120 > Newties, Bossruns (if you can handle it) or Skelegons :)

I'm working on a much, much more detailed leveling guide. This guide works very nicely and explains with great detail how to train at the certain spots. This can apply to lots of other job classes too.
