Strenth and Intelligence aren't needed to be a thief (unless you want to be a strenth bandit) so try to make it as low as possible as it will increase the numbers for Dexterity and Luck and you need those.
After you create your character, i reccomend you to do most of the quests on Maple Island but not the ones that make you kill Orange Mushrooms.
First Job
So! You made it to Victoria Island! Now, go all the way West until you see Olaf. Do his quest and tell him that you want to be a thief. He'll tell you to go to Kerning City. Go East until you see the Red Jacket Guy at the Ticketing Booth. Talk to him and go to Kerning City. Go all the way to the Kerning City's Cab and next to it you'll see a Jazz bar. Go inside. Go to the bottom and talk to Dark Lord and finish Olaf's quest. DON'T DO THIS YET IF YOU NEED 300 XP TO THE NEXT LVL (11) if so then advance and then finish your quest. My way to get money is to go to Henseys Hunting Ground 1 and go to the top. You'll see Green Mushrooms. Don't kill them. If there was a super guy killing all the green mushrooms, GRAB THE ITEMS! You'll get rich quick(not like millions but it's rich for the weak).
Skills
Put your first skill in Nimble Body. Keep adding points to Nimble Body until you are able to add to Keen Eyes.
10-12. 5 To Nimble Body; 1 to Keen Eyes 12-14. 7 to Keen Eyes 14-21. 20 to Lucky 7 21-22. 3 to Disorder 22-25. 9 to Dark Sight 25-30. 15 to Nimble Body
Second Job
Let me congratulate you on level 30.
Now to go on the 2nd Job. Talk to Dark Lord and get the Note. MAKE SURE TO HAVE A HUGE STOCK OF POTIONS. Go 2 maps to the East; and then to the top of the second one. Talk to the guy at the top. You'll have to get 30 Dark Marbles in order to get the proof of hero. Talk to Dark Lord and tell him you want to be an assassin.

1-8 Green Snails, Blue Snails, Shrooms, and occasionally Red Snails 8-10 Quests at Maple Island
Victoria Island
First before you do the FIRST JOB do the hair salon quest and Olaf's to gain 1615+ XP if you do all that's needed. (Olaf XP; 365 HairSalon XP; 500 Slimes XP 250+)
10 - 15 Slimes, Tree Stumps. Slime Tree or Perion 16 - 20 Pigs and Ribbon Pigs at Pig Beach or Rain-forest East of Henseys 21 - 25 PQ or Green Mushrooms or Horned Mushrooms at the Tree Dungeons. 25 - 30 PQ
