I'd like to ask - how much higher than your level should your Dex be? I can't find it anywhere, and my friend is starting a thief and I've never had one before.

  • I think 17 points higher if you have 25 dex at level 10.
    • Hmm, well, after making this, I read twice your level, which I think seems correct.
      • It's 15 more than your level. If you add 15 to 10 you get 25, and 10 times 2 isn't 25. :D
      • Also, you could just add 2 to Dex and 3 to Luk every level. ^^
        • Get DEX to 25 by level 10 so that you can take the job advancement. Then from level 13 onwards, make DEX 2x your level. e.g at lvl 25 you will have 50 DEX, at lvl 30 you will have 60 DEX and so on.
          • When your a Begginer, on Maple Island, pile everything onto dex untill its 25, then start on luk, untill your lvl 10, lvl 10 and onwards, every lvl up, put 5 on luk for 3 lvls, then 5 on dex for 2 lvls, that way, you get stronger damage, but every 5 lvls, you will have dex 2X your lvl, so you can wear better armour

I think so too.

And the shadow master is called Copycat in Maplesea

Something wrong with skills...

Instead of saving SP at LVL20 to add 10 L7 and 3 disorder at LVL21, why not simply add those 10 L7 at LVL20? Then we could add those 3 disorder at LVL21...

  • Good eyes. Too bad this page was protected.

Necessary changes should be made on all character guides. Saving is no longer necessary, the MP goes up gradually.

  • Note: Not for all skills and characters. For thieves, maybe. But for example, I/L wizard's ice is still doubling MP at 16.
MP goes up gradually only in first job advancement skills. There have been no changes to MP usage from other skills (although some 3rd job advancement skills increase the MP consumption gradually). —Zeti X 10:01, 6 January 2007 (CST)

Dark sight or Disorder?

Which would be best? Right now I'm leaning torwards maxing out Dark Sight. Any thoughts? --Oh.My.Goose. 23:59, 24 April 2006 (CDT)

Well, if you're planning on becomming an assassin, dark sight would be the obvious choice (disorder doesnt work with claws). If you're planning on becomming a bandit, I would still choose dark sight. This is because I have a bandit myself that maxed disorder, and I find that the points wouldve been better spent if they were put into darksight. --Champion911 08:21, 25 April 2006 (CDT)
Dark sight doesn't really matter at times of a bandit. You need to decrease the power of the monster. All you need is to hide, and even lvl 1 dark sight can do the job. I'm not saying that you have to master disorder, but its just a suggestion so you can think about it --maplewiki user:battlemaster223
  • Anyway Dark Sight is wanted for Ludibrum party quests(PQ)

Dex no longer necessary

With the change in how character creation works, it does not matter what you apply your points to in order to choose a job. The only requirement is to be level 10 for Warrior, Bowman, Thief, and Pirate. Upon choosing your job, the main stat is put where it needs to be and additional points are granted. All guides and 1st job pages should reflect this change. Proust 04:55, 4 February 2009 (UTC)

Why are they so popular?
