Rogue Build
Guide on being a PRO thief :)
First of all, I'm very sorry if this page isn't very "organized". I'm just a beginner within creating such articles at MapleWiki. So just be patient with the way I edited this page, okay? :D
This article includes the following:
- Becoming a rogue.
- Rogue-Assassin build/ AP Guide.
- Rogue-Bandit build/ AP Guide.
- Places to train for thieves at level 1-31.
- Becoming an assassin or a bandit.
- Assassin build/ AP Guide
- Bandit build/AP Guide
- Places to train for thieves at level 31-70.
Creating your rogue account
I think that you guys already know that the newest version of MapleStory is way more improved to make it easier for beginners to stick around. BTW, the 'dice' is gone in the newest version of MapleStory. (Just as you know.) As you start your journey to Maple Island, you will be given 12 STR, 5 DEX, 4 LUK and 4 INT (Yeah, no more random stats given). Just a simple reminder, FEEL FREE to put some of your AP points to your STR as you will need it to kill the monsters at Maple Island (But be sure that you have 25 DEX as this is the requirement to become a rogue). So, get up to lvl 10 and you're off to Vic. Island ;-). Just go to Kerning City, at the night club or whatever it is, and find the Night Lord- please take note that before you talk to him, make sure that you have 25 dex. Talk to him and VOOOOILAA!, you're a rogue :). So guys, here's the good thing about it, once you're already a rogue, all of the ability points you've used at Maple Island will be reset to the RIGHT AP for thieves. So your AP right now should be something like this..
Luk: --
Int: 4
Dex: --
Str: 4
..And yes, all of the AP points you've used at Maple Island will be reset and you can use it to fix your AP. For example, you want to be a dexless thief, put all of your AP points in LUK, as you don't need DEX.

-As one of the two second job advancements for the Thief, the Assassin is one of the fastest, most dangerous jobs in the game. Of course, you start out weak, but you come out of it, bursting into your third job with huge amounts of damage and speed

Rogue-Bandit build/ AP Guide
Rogue-Bandit build- to be followed if you wish to become a bandit. Please take note that this build is ALSO for dexless bandits.
Here's a little reason on why to become a bandit. NOTE: This is not mine. I just copied it from MapleWiki's article about bandits.
-The Bandit is the 2nd job advancement for Rogues who chose to use daggers over a claw and throwing stars/knives. The Bandit is a a fast and agile class that uses weaker, yet lightning fast attacks to down enemies. Due to the short range of their weapon of choice, Bandits are forced to get very close to their targets. A Bandit's skillbook contains skills that play up their strengths. Dagger Mastery increases the power and stability of their daggers, and Dagger Booster raises the already blazing speed of their attacks. A Bandit's signature skill is Savage Blow, which when mastered, attacks six times in a row. They share the Speed and Jump enhancing skill Haste with the Assassin.

2nd Job Advancement
Once you've achieved level 30, you're ready to become an assassin or a bandit. Time to get your job advancement! Yay!
First thing to do is to go back to Night Lord. He will then give you a letter which you'll need to give to the job instructor 2 maps to the east of Kerning. Find him at the topmost of the map and give him the letter. He'll then transfer you to a place with monsters. Your goal here is to get 30 marbles by defeating the monsters at that place. Once you've done that, talk to the job instructor again and head back to Night Lord. Talk to him and choose whether you want to be an assassin or bandit. Please think about what you really want and confirm it at once to the Night Lord.
Whatever you chose, CONGRATULATIONS on your second job advancement! WOOT! xD

Click here for more information on CPQ
- LMPQ- Makes you rich. The total amount of money you can get through this PQ can be used to buy your potions so it's HIGHLY recommended :)
