Kjas99's Simple Theif Guide

Why Am I Doing This? I also don't know

INTRO In this game, there are 4 classes to choose from, namely the Magician, Warrior, Bowman and the Thief. You probably are interested in the Thief, since you're reading this. But, why do you want to be a thief? Will it give you A million dollars? No!(got a little far there)... They have their likenesses with archers and warriors. Though probably being the most expensive to handle, they gain the most money in the process after magicians (meaning magicians have more money than any other classes). They are very good at killing enemies quickly.

Types Of Theives

There Are Only 2 Types of Theives - Assassin And The Bandit ( More known as the Sin and the Dit). Assassin's are quick so that means they can throw stars more quickly than bowmen. They are Meso Efficient But cost a LOt,did I say a lot? I meant a million more than bandits(Top that).Bandits are quick melee attackers and are quite powerful around the 2nd Jobs. At first The sins might have more damage than the dits but around lvl 80~100, The sins could never get more raw damage than the dits.

Pro's Of a theif

Great avoidability

Great damage

Assassins are extremely mobile and have good range.

Nice graphics on skills

Can jump-attack

Has The Coolest Gear EVA

Thieves are popular choices in Party Quests

Both are good at bossing at 4th job.

And Last but Not least... The wonderful and amazing skill...HASTE!!!!( Only Theives Has It, So Neh Neh Neh Boo boo to other classes)=p

Cons of a theif

Expensive

Not So Stable Damage

Good stars and armours are extremely expensive. Claw and Dagger ATT scrolls are some of the most expensive in the game.

Low HP and MP, getting 2-hit-killed by monsters at high levels.

________________________________________________________________________________________________

Pre Sins

Thieves that use claws are long ranged attackers. They are widely regarded as one of the most powerful classes in the game.

One thing that should be noted about Assassins is that they can be expensive. Tremendous amounts of Mesos are required to maintain a strong Assassin. The price of stars, scrolls, claws, potions, as well as other random items and equipment can be daunting. Sins do not have the MP regeneration of a mage, and as such burn MP Potions constantly. Also, unlike Bowmen, Assassins can barely knock back monsters, giving them a wider range to throw

Claws and Scrolls cost upwards of millions of Mesos, and the highest attack stars, Crystal Ilbis, can now sell for up to 90 million Mesos(ZOMG)! If you are unfunded but still want to do crazy butt-kicking damage and blast through levels, "Pure Luck 'Sins" can do this easily: their high damage makes training fast and they can make some quick money. But equipment is highly limited; the bathrobe is a must have. You may want to keep it or change to the sauna bathrobe at level 30. But it is better to sell it off for a high price.

Pre Dits=

Dits, Well they're simply just Warrior's Att STyle and Archer's Dex all put together. They spend More money on Pots as the Dit's Att style is close ranged and takes more damage. Dit's are not so Meso efficent but saves a lot of Meso's.

STR bandits have more stable damage. This means that their damage range is smaller and it is easier to predict what damage they will do. However, their max damage is weak, due to the lack of LUK. STR bandits are also cheaper to maintain. LUK bandits have much higher maximum damage, but a wider damage range. They are more expensive to maintain.

STR daggers are slightly faster than LUK daggers(probably due to some bug, however this is unsure). This has been proven. However this evens out when LUK bandits get Dagger Booster.

Training Locations For Pre- Sinz

Level 10-13: you don't have your extended range yet, too bad. To save money, you probably want to switch between the Wrist Guard and the short sword depending on what enemies you are fighting (for more powerful enemies you'll want the Wrist Guard). Go to Henesys Hunting Ground and kill some snails for now. If you are feeling adventurous, go to the slime tree, and start de-sliming. Now that you have lucky seven, killing slimes are extremely easy. If you are funded (if you have an additional, higher level character), you can take some money and buy a better claw (10 attack versus 9) or throwing stars and go de-sliming more easily in Ellinia. Fear the power of Assassins!

Another option for levels 10-14/16 is to kill orange mushrooms, they give more experience than slimes and can generally be killed in 3-4 hits. If you put your level 10 skill point on lucky 7, regular pigs can be killed using only 3 stars. Henesys Party Quest is a good option. Level 14-16: Go up the levels of Henesys Hunting Grounds. HHG 3 is generally the best open empty spot. Since it is very difficult to find pigs in numbers without the ribbon pig alongside it go and travel across all towns except for Perion and kill everything killable. Another good leveling location is the map East of Kerning City, where you can easily kill Octopus and Green Mushroom, giving you quick EXP, although be sure to stock up on potions! Leveling should be extremely fast if you're funded with kumbis or better.

Level 17-19: Pig Beach. Your level 10 lucky seven is enough to kill pigs in one hit and ribbon pigs in two, and while it's not extremely profitable, you won't lose money, and will gain some from the occasional drops. And yes, nobody can ks you, not even a mage. WARNING: The very irritating Iron Hog will spawn in Pig Beach occasionally. So watch out! If you managed to aggro it, cast Disorder if you have it. The party quest is a great place to level from levels 21-30. By doing this with either nice people or friends you can not only save money but also gain precious ores that you will need to make weapons later on. If not, continue to follow the guide.

Level 20-24: If you're going for the poor build, continue at Pig Beach. Training is going to get slower now, but bear it for now. If you're maxing Lucky Seven early, then go ahead and kill Green Mushrooms, and hope that the ever-elusive pan lid drops.A Better alternative is the Bubling monster in Kerning subway Line 1 they give the same EXP as green mushrooms but with relatively NO KSers.

Level 25-30: Green Mushrooms, or Horned Mushrooms at ant Tunnel. The former is more profitable, the latter is quicker, although you will lose money. You could also try Jr Sentinels, but it is not recommended. Zombie Mushrooms are also an alternative if you have Kumbi or better, as you can easily 2HKO them with Lucky 7. If not, stick with Horny Mushrooms. Wild Boars can be an option too if you seriously think you have enough money to burn on potions, and boars move quite quickly, which is more challenging.

Training guide for pre dit

Level 10-15: Oh wow, look at those slimes, they're so overjoyed, they're bouncing with happiness! Well, that can't be right, so let's terminate their happiness (and their lives) with your speedy knife of death, and the best place to do so is the Slime Tree (not tree dungeon). Which is located 2 portals west of Ellinia, and it’s the farthest tree on the west side. Spamming Double Stab is not suggested here since it won't be necessary, unless you feel like throwing money into the wind or something. Henesys Party Quest is a good option.

Level 16-19: All you rich bandits can now unleash stabbity death upon pigs now, so go do so at Pig Beach. While their poorer brethrens can also train there, you won't make much profit, so stay at slimes. Mushroom Garden is also a very good training area. You can also train at HPQ which gives 1.6k exp per game(try getting someone who can lure(take all the monsters and move them away from the bunny) for an easier time.

Level 20-24: Now, all bandits, rich or poor, can enjoy the shower of sun raysat Pig Beach also you can start party questing at kerning, but I suggest not to start that until around level 24. Double Stab spamming bandits will find their 1HKO rate much higher with a better weapon, and for you poorer bandits... if you just found that Dankke that you sold to an NPC for 50000 mesos, you can start doing stabbity death for a while too. If you want to KPQ (Kerning Party Quest) then you should go around level 25 if you want some good damage or a little earlier if you’re funded.(Also, if you can 2HKO a Horny Mushroom, training in the dungeon will be fast exp if you can find an unpopulated area.)

Level 25-29: At this point, all bandits should have maxed Double Stab. If you want you can start party questing in kerning, as you are level 24 which is a good level for party quest in kerning. Or if your wallet is happy enough, go murder green mushrooms with Double Stab (and perhaps some follow up normal attacks), and pray to Maple God a pan lid drops. If your wallet is mad at you, either ignore it partially and go normal attack frenzy with Green Mushrooms, or treat it with a few days at Jr Sentinels (which drops 60-90 meso per kill!), which will surely make it happy.

1st Job Bandit Gear

Levels 1 to 10: Use the weapon and clothes you chose at the beginning. If you are lucky enough to get weapon or armour drops that you can use on Maple Island, by all means use them. Do Bigg's quest and pray for a Fruit Knife. If you get a Razor that's fine too. Note: You MUST do Bigg's quest, as it will reward you with a dagger, a Bandit's weapon of choice.

Levels 10 to 15: Use the dagger you got from Bigg's quest till level 15. Stick with your beginner clothes till level 15.

Note: If you can, buy yourself a Pan Lid if you are funded. However if you cannot, get a Stolen Fence. It will do for now. If you are planning to get a Wristguard, don't buy any shield and save your cash.

Levels 15 to 20: If you found a Field Dagger from Shrooms, equip it now. Or else, go buy one from the Kerning City Self-Defense Item Store. Alternatively, you can continue with your Fruit Knife/Razor for just 3 more levels, then reward yourself with a shiny new Triple-tipped Zamadar. Wear the level 15 Night set. They add a bit of LUK, which increases your damage. Note: If you are funded, get yourself a Wristguard ASAP, preferably a Seclusion one. Or else, you have no choice but to stick with your Pan Lid/Stolen Fence.

Levels 20 to 25: Grab a Stinger and wear the level 20 Pao suit.

Levels 25 to 30: Buy a Brown Bamboo Hat ASAP. It adds 3 LUK! Wear the level 25 Sneak set and buy a Forked Dagger at level 27.
