Monster Raids
Preparations
It was a little while after the settling of the new towns. New warriors had been trained, in order to protect these new towns from any harm. Little did they expect how soon the Balrog would attack. As monsters poured from the cave and into the outside world, the cities were warned and all men were mobilized. As incoming monsters loomed over the horizon, the soldiers of the 4 towns of the new 'Victoria Island' prepared for combat.
Chaos in Henesys
As marksmen lined up against the city wall, they could see hordes of monsters coming. Their captain stood behind them, and told them "You are all Henesys bowmen. Whatever comes at us you WILL stand your ground." One man suddenly looked up and cried "INCOMING!" The marksmen immediately shifted their bows up at the incoming enemy. It seemed the monsters weren't as dense as they seemed. The Cold Eyes had rolled up into balls and the Tauromacis had picked them up and threw them at the opposing archers. "FIRE AT WILL," yelled the captain. Chaos sperad through the walls like wildfire, and soon there were no available soldiers to reinforce the walls. As the Henesys bowmen fell back, the monsters mmoved on, demolishing all in their path. It was then, at the center of Henesys, that its saviours arrived. As eagles plunged from the sky, Rangers and Snipers began shooting down the monsters from a nearby rooftop. Of the Rangers, there was one by the name of Athena who had killed more than 100 opposing enemies. This tremendous feat brought great recognition to Athena. As the monsters suffered heavy casualties and injuries, they were forced to pull back to the cave.
Massacre in Perion
Warriors lined the entrance to Perion, all who had vowed never to let a single monster in until they died. What they didnt notice was a small portal that had opened in a small shop. As the portal grew larger, the shopkeeper grew alarmed and ran outside to warn the soldiers. As monsters poured through the dark portal, and into the streets of Perion, another force attacked the gates. Caught in the pincer movement, Perion's warriors were quickly massacred. The Balrog himself entered Perion, but Perion's greatest warrior, Jayden, fought Balrog fiercly, neither giving up an inch. Reinforcements from Henesys soon arrived, which forced the monsters to retreat back to the cave. Jayden had met the Balrog face to face, which earned him the name "Dances with Balrog." Perion rejoiced in its salvation until a call for help came from Ellinia...
Victory in Kerning
The monsters' raid was all too easily repelled by the shadowy ninjas of Kerning City. Skilled assassins, they quickly cut down their enemies and soon had the enemy falling back. Moving swiftly through the shadows, the men of Kerning quickly decimated the retreating monsters and claimed victory. As they celebrated, word came from Perion that Ellinia was in deep trouble and had asked for as much reinforcements as possible. The Kerning council contemplated whether to aid Ellinia, or to bask in their victory. A dark man by the name of Zayentar viewed this contemplation with disdain, and instead rallied the troops of Kerning to go with him to Ellinia. Before the council could protest, they were gone. This man's arrogance and great strength allowed him to move through the ranks, eventually going by the name of "The Dark Lord." He trained every man to be a powerful soldier of the dark.
