Aftermath
In the aftermath of the great battle, few were left alive to return and tell the tale. The clan leaders agreed that the smaller clans should merge with their nearby larger clans, so as to improve relations as well as to protect the people better in times of danger. The largest clans were renamed to be Henesys, Kerning, Ellinia, and Perion. Perion's harsh environment and tough monsters forced its inhabitants to strengthen themselves physically. Kerning's ghostly monsters and dark environment forced their inhabitants to become stealthier, to avoid the monsters by hiding in the dark. Ellinia's monsters were seemingly weak, so the people prepared for a time of war by training their magical prowess. Henesys' fast monsters forced their people to become bowmen, great snipers that killed the opposing monster before they reached the bowman.
Growth
As these new 'towns' prospered, there were still remnants of the old group. Ones who still wanted power. They left the towns and cities and built a town closer to the cave of evil. Once there, they found themselves surrounded by stronger monsters than those of the other towns. As a result of this, the town was barred from less skilled entry and only the best were let in. To protect, and to defeat the monsters surrounding the town. As the warriors of these new towns became more powerful, they tested themselves by entering the cave of evil. Those that were too weak perished, and those that were strong enough became even stronger. As they honed their skills by fighting the hordes of the Balrog in the ruins, they themselves approached the Balrog himself.
Strength
These brave and powerful warriors struck down the Balrog, but again and again he rose. The evil in him was too powerful, and he could not be permanently defeated. Thus, these warriors kept watch over the Balrog, so that he could never go on rampage in the outside world. The Balrog would keep his vow eventually, to return and wreak havoc on the survivors. It would happen sooner than anyone ever imagined...
