Lukless Blaze Wizard Guide

From MapleWiki

This is a guide on pure INT/LUKless Blaze Wizards, for those who do not know, LUK is needed by all types of Magi to upgrade their gear. For example, they need 33 LUK for the level 30 staff: "Circle-Winded Staff". However, the more INT you have, the more damage you do, and the more accurate you are with your spells. I'd like everyone to note, that I am completely unfunded at the time of writing this guide, this is on purpose to prove that you do NOT need billions of mesos to become a good LUKless Wizard of any type. [However, it does help a lot.]

Firstly, we will start with the AP distribution. As this is for gMS, the readers should know by now that you no longer need to "roll the dice" for "perfect" stats. So it does not matter until the first job advancement. As this is a LUKless build, it will be easy to follow this simple guideline. ALL OF YOUR STATS GO INTO ->INT<-! No STR, no DEX, no LUK, everything goes into INT.

Secondly, we'll move onto 1st(first) job skills and how to build them. Now readers should note that this is my build and they are not allowed to give out this guide under their name or anyone else', but to that end, these are only my ways of building the character, it is completely up to you to use it or tweak it to their liking.

As we have "Three Snails", which works wonders in trainee island AKA Ereve/Ereb, we do not need to worry about what we'll use as our attack until we get it. :)

PLACES TO TRAIN!

(1-14/15) -- I like to stay at Ereve killing the ribbon pigs for the last acclimation quest.

(14/15-21) -- Pig Beach is an amazing area for us to level at these few, as they will die in one Magic Claw.

(21-31) -- There are two choices here, as you're freshly 21, you can lead some KPQ(Kerning Party Quest)s for really quick levels, and possibly some mesos, or commit genocide at the Ant Tunnels on Horny/Zombie Mushrooms. Either way, you'll be at either one, or a mix of both 'till 31. (Please remember to get your 2nd(second) Job Advancement at level 30.)

Level 30

Now we can finally do the 2nd Job Advancement test and get some better skills!

Go to Ereve/Ereb via Ellinia and talk to Oz, the Blaze Wizard Champion. She'll give you a quest to go all the way to the left and go into the 2nd floor portal and kill mobs until you collect 30 "Tokens" I will edit this soon, as I do not recall the actual names of the darn things. After accumulating all of these, which doesn't take long at all, you then return to Oz and she will sprinkle fairy dust in your eyes and advance you to the next stage of Blaze Wizardry.

2nd(second) job skill build. [Same rules as everything else apply, my build, not yours. You may tweak it to your liking but do not edit my build in any way, shape, or form.]

This build is chiefly due to the fact that AoE leveling is so much quicker than ST leveling. (AoE = Area of Effect, ST = Single Target) You may not want to admit it, but even if you don't like MCPQ or CPQ(Monster Carnival Party Quest AKA Carnival Party Quest.), it's still the fastest way to level from 30-51, so deal with it. AoE attacks, especially powerful ones such as Fire Pillar are treasured in CPQ, taking down those Trojan/Speed's will be no hassle when Fire Pillar is maxed. [It'll just get more and more interesting once Meditation and Magic Booster are maxed.]

PLACES TO TRAIN!

(31-51) -- It doesn't matter what your favorite spot is, or how boring CPQ gets, if you want to see 51 asap, CPQ is for you. I'm not saying that you can't take breaks and go elsewhere for half a level, but CPQ is definitely the best possible way to get from 31-51. {As you're LUKless, you may want to invest some time into doing LPQ(Ludibrium Party Quest) 35 times to get your Broken Glasses, as they will serve you well. The prime levels to do this is 44, as the level requirement on them is 45.}

(51-55) -- I'd suggest Jars/Jineng Jars in 10-Year-Old Herb Garden, Herb town, or Roids in C-1, Magatia. They're not only good for mesos, but you may find a couple items that you like, or can sell for even more mesos, the experience is also dumbfounding.

(55-70) -- LMPQ(Ludibrium Maze Party Quest) ->IS THE BEST WAY.<- Reason being, that not only is it extremely easy to learn, but it's amazing experience. You may not like it at first, seeing as how the end result is only 15k experience, but the speed in which you can do this at, is funny to behold. Also, on a side note, if you're unfunded like I am, you'll love it. You'll get the potions that you need to survive, and NPCing all the others that you don't want can make you tons of mesos. {In fact, I remember I made a record of 23 million mesos from 55-70 on my Priest.

(51-71) -- CPQ2! Recently a new PQ as been added to the list of leveling PQ's. The CPQ2 is a new version of the Monster Carnival Party Quest that was so amazing from 31-51, and now there's one from 51-71. More monsters to kill, more experience to gain, all in a familiar setting so you can hit 70 in the matter of a week or two. [NOTE: The previously mentioned two areas are still very valid. And in some cases, LMPQ may be better for you than CPQ2, as if you're unfunded you'll need the mesos from LMPQ. But pure sheer EXP gain, you'll want CPQ2.]

Level 70

Now you're on a roll! Let's go grab that 3rd job advancement, shall we? ->{MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A DARK CRYSTAL ON YOU}<-

Upon reaching level 70, you will get a light bulb that appears atop your gigantic head, clicky.

It will be that annoying fool, Neinhart. He'll tell you to hightail your butt over to Ereve/Ereb because there's a serious problem going on, or some foolishness like that. (I forget the exact words.) When you talk to him in Ereve/Ereb, he'll tell you that someone has transformed into a Cygnus Knight Commander and has stolen a treasure from the vault. Go to Oz, the Blaze Wizard Champion, and pass her the Dark Crystal, she'll give you a shiny search warrant. Go to Lotus Forest 1 and search all the portals until you find the Magic Transformer, he looks just like whatever job you are's leader, in this case, Oz. Clicky.

Once you clicky, he will transform into his real self, and you'll have to give him the old one, two. Once you lay down the beating on him, he'll drop the treasure that he stole. Grab it and get back to Oz. Once this is done, she'll be all.. Happy and joyful like she usually is, and sprinkle some more fairy dust in your eyes, this time.. It's spicy. BANG! You're now at the last stage of your Blaze Wizard development. Grats! :D

3rd job skill build, my build, not yours, blah blah, etcetera, etcetera.

PLACES TO TRAIN!

I'm still testing these places out, so please bear with me. The places I state beyond level 78 are the ones that I'm going to try first, I'll edit if I find better places.

(70-76/77) -- I tried Voodoo/Hoodoos and they were quite good, so were Windraiders. Personally, I liked Voodoo/Hoodoo for the mesos.

(76/77-110) -- I'm currently testing out Bonefish and Squids, spending an hour there a piece without double EXP to see how the regular EXP is for those who aren't their own juniors. :P So far, so good.

(110-120) -- I will try out Blue Wyverns and Newties when I get to that point, no telling how well it's going to go.. But, here's hoping!

Notes

Also, please be aware that you do NOT need to spend ghastly amounts of mesos at lower levels. It's stupid easy to get from 1-35 with the level 8 wand they give you as a reward when you finish your Nobless/Noblesse quests. At 35, either you can tough it out a bit longer with the wand, or grab a cheap Maple Staff. At 43, don't even bother getting a Maple Lama Staff. [Unless you have the mesos to blow on a scrolled one.] Instead, stick with your Maple Staff 'till 50, then do {Cleaning Up The Streets} to get a Nocturnal Staff. If you have the scrolls lying around, or you want to try your luck with mesos.. Buy 7 x Scroll for Staff for Magic Attack (60%) and use them all on the Nocturnal Staff. You might end up with a keeper! Also, if you do, you'll have a basis to start your funding for 64 when the real "need" comes in. You will NEED to get a very well scrolled Elemental Wand 1, and a clean or well scrolled Maple Magician Shield. They are the last weapon and shield you will ever get. (Unless Wizet changes stuff.) Some people may say that the Maple Wisdom Staff is better than the Elemental Wand 1, but using the Elemental Wand 1, you get a 25% boost to all your Fire Spells, so.. Yar.

Final words

Thank you to all who read my guide. I can be contacted at [email protected] if you want me to add a good training spot that you know of and want to share, or any spelling mistakes I may have made. Please don't send me hate mail, it makes me cry. :P Guides on Cleric-Priest-Bishop, Page-White Knight-Paladin, Dawn Warrior coming soon to Maplewiki's near you! Watch out for 'em! >:D
