Jump Shooting
Jump shooting/jump casting is a special method of attacking enemies in MapleStory. It allows characters more mobility while attacking. Although the attack still comes from the ground, the character jumps at the same time. The 'jump' animation is replaced by the animation of the attack used. Jump shooting/jump casting should not be confused with telecasting: telecasting is an entirely different method altogether.
Jump skilling buffs can save time. Jump-Booster is used to stay mobile while Booster's animation plays out.
Note: Assassins can jump shoot without the glitch. They may wish to do so however, because they can throw twice; once with a jumpshot, and once at the peak of their jump.
How to jump shoot/jump cast
There are three types of jump shots/jump casts. The stationary jump shot/cast, the forward jump shot/cast, and the back shot/cast.
Stationary jump shot/cast
Press the buttons Jump and whatever skill you wish to use at the same time.
Note: This depends largely on the keys of your keyboard. Certain keyboards will not allow this.
Forward jump shot/jump cast
While walking forward, press the buttons Jump and whatever skill you wish to use at the same time. This is slightly harder. It does not count as a forward shot if you release the directional arrow before you jump shoot/cast. That is a stationary jump shot/cast.
Note: This depends largely on the keys of your keyboard. Certain keyboards will not allow this.
Back shot/cast
While walking forward, press the buttons Jump, whatever skill you wish to use, and the opposite direction at the same time. This is arguably the hardest jump shot/cast to pull off.
Note: This depends largely on the keys of your keyboard. Certain keyboards will not allow this. Your keyboard may beep in protest.
100% method of using this glitch
By moving the jump action to the ctrl key, and your preferred action (attack/whatever) to the left alt, and pressing Alt Gr, this will perform a jump-shot one hundred percent of the time.
Note: This relies heavily on your keyboard layout, but it is confirmed to work on a standard euro-english model.
