Introduction

I hope you'll become an Ice/Lightning Wizard because I am one too. The medium power Wizards. They don't waste as much MP as the Fire/Poison Wizards, but they have more power than Clerics.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Thunderbolt can hit up to six enemies at once
  • Cold Beam can freeze enemies
  • With MP Eater, you don't have to buy many potions
  • Teleportation is very helpful
  • Telecast by Teleporting and attacking at the same time
  • Both of your attacks can go through terrain

Cons

  • Until MP Eater is mastered, you waste lots of money
  • Cold Beam and Thunderbolt are weak at first

Stats

(Very Weak/Weak/Okay/Good/Great/Excellent)

HP: ///////// (45/100) Okay

MP: //////////////////// (100/100) Excellent

Magic Atk: //////////////////// (100/100) Excellent

Melee Atk: // (10/100) Very Weak

Spell Spd: //////////////// (80/100) Great

Cost: ///////////// (65/100) The lower the better!

Defence: /////////// (55/100) Okay

Multiple Enemies: ///////////////// (85/100) Great

Single Enemies: /////////////////// (95/100) Excellent

Skills

MP Eater: Very helpful. Lowers the cost of being a magician because it drains MP out of monsters. Should be maxed with Thunderbolt.

Teleport: The thing to look for! This is very helpful. Even at level 1! Ables you to teleport from place to place on the same map. Also, you can telecast by teleporting and attacking at the same time.

Slow: Don't add any skill points into this. Why? You can freeze monsters! Why slow them down? This skill slows up to six monsters at once.

Meditation: A pretty good skill. Add skill points into this to boost your magic attack +20 for the whole party!

Cold Beam: This is the most powerful skill in the Ice/Lightning skills. Shoot a sharp piece of ice at a monster. This is what I maxed out first. It freezes a monster for about 2 seconds. Ice Elemental. Please note that some monsters don't take as much damage from ice, so you have to resort back to Magic Claw. Fire based monsters are hit 1.5 times more by this skill!

Thunderbolt: This is your mobbing skill. Lightning elemental, it has less power than Magic Claw. However, this skill can hit up to 6 monsters at once. Good if you're stuck between monsters.

Items

All the items that you need to buy are right here. I know you might need more, but these are the basic items.

Level 30:

Blue Potions and Pills

Red Potions and Pills

Level 50:

Mana Elixir

Orange Potion

Level 70:

or Elixir or Power Elixir will do.

Armor

Magician armor is very weak. I would keep using Magic Guard from your first job. The advantage over many other classes is that you only need to buy one set of clothes, not a top and bottom, thus, our armor costs less.

Weapons

Weapons, however, are very expensive. Save up for them and maybe skip a few. Don't get them all in order.

Conclusion

This is the life of the Ice/Lightning Wizard. Try it and see how you feel. Once you make the job advancement, you can't change back. This is my favorite class. Hope you choose it!
