Skill Build

There's no standarlized skill build for archmages yet, but there is several recommended skill build.

1. Blizzard Build

If you had not mastered Element Amplification in 3rd Job, mage, it is recommended to master Blizzard first. Instead of spending 4000~8000 MPs, you only get to spend 2300~4600 MPs if you have only 3~4 Element Amplification. You have advantage of fast level up in Level 120~150.

120: Blizzard 1 Chain Lightning 1 Ice Demon 1 Infinity 1

121~129: Blizzard + 3

130: Blizzard + 2 Ice Demon + 1

133: Ifrit + 3

134~142: Chain Lightning + 3

143: Chain Lightning + 2 Ifrit + 1

144~151: Ifrit + 3

152~159,160~169: Ice Demon, Infinity Mastered

170~177: Maple Hero Mastered

178~: Anything you want.

2. Chain Lightning Build

A common build for common archmage.

120: Blizzard 1 Chain Lightning 3

121~128: Chain Lightning + 3

129: Ice Demon + 3

130: Ice Demon + 2 Ifrit + 1

151~158: Ice Demon Mastered

159~168: Infinity Mastered

169~176: Maple Hero Mastered

3. Ice Demon + Ifrit Build

Once a monster is hit by Ice Demon, it becomes vulnerable to fire. Ifrit, who uses fire-based attack, can give enemy a tremendous blow. The only disadvantage of this build is you always have to wait till Ifrit attacks the monster hit by Ice Demon.

120: Blizzard 1 Ice Demon 3

121: Ice Demon + 2 Ifrit + 1

122: Ifrit + 3

123: Ifrit + 1 Ice Demon + 2

124~131: Ice Demon Mastered

132~141: Blizzard + 3 (Mastered)

142~150: Ifrit Mastered

151~160: Chain Lightning Mastered

161~170: Blizzard Mastered

171~178: Maple Hero Mastered

179~: Anything you want.

Training & Leveling Up

120~145: Red Wyvern is still good. Hunt in Red Wyvern's Nest.

135~200: There is no better hunting place then this! The strongest monsters in Maplestory is vulnerable to ice! Hunt Oracle of Oblivion, Priest of Oblivion, Guardian Soldier of Oblivion, and Guardian Captain of Oblivion.

155~200: You can hunt Skelegon and Skelesaurus in Revived Memory with Blizzard. Great EXPs!

Overall

I didn't get over level 150, but in my opinion, Ice/Lightning Archmage is the most fun job in Maplestory. Blizzard skill is the most fancy skill in the whole game, and Ifrit is also the strongest Sprite in Maplestory. If you are thinking about raising one Ice/Lightning Archmage, I strongly encourage you to do so. -Cacao941, creator of this page.
