How to CPQ

From MapleWiki

This is a general guide on the Monster Carnival Party Quest.

Incomplete I am still currently working on this, but I'm still finishing up my KPQ guide.

Requirements

You should have a party of 3, 4, or 5, with each member between levels 30 and 50. Level 50 players are generally more welcomed than level 30 players due to their high damage ranges.

Clerics are welcomed because of their ability to heal, and thus less pot wasting, Brawlers and Gunslingers for their high damage, and Luckless Assassins for their high damage ranges.

Goal

Obtain more Carnival Points than the opposing team. The more CP you earn, the more exp you gain.

  • A Rank: 500+ CP
  • B Rank: 250 - 499 CP
  • C Rank: 50 - 249 CP
  • D Rank: 0 - 49 CP

Winning Team

  • A Rank - 30,000 EXP
  • B Rank - 25,500 EXP
  • C Rank - 21,500 EXP
  • D Rank - 7,500 EXP

Losing Team

  • A Rank - 10,000 EXP
  • B Rank - 8,500 EXP
  • C Rank - 7,000 EXP
  • D Rank - 1,000 EXP

Stages

There are 3 types of stages.

1/2. Very wide, with ladders leading up to platforms every few steps. Protectors spawn on these platforms. Generally used by lower levels that don't know where to go or what to do. Monsters: King Block Golem, Teddy

3/4. Confined, with a separate room for each party. There are platforms that float above the main area, where the monsters spawn. Generally full because of high Coin drop, and high exp gain. Monsters: Toy Trojan, Robo

5/6. Shared by both parties. Monsters spawn on the very bottom and the various wider platforms above. There are also small platforms for players to rest, and not get hit by anything. Generally used for higher exp gain because of high level monsters. Monsters: Rombot, Robo

Carnival Points

You receive Carnival Points by defeating monsters. The higher level a monster is, the more CP a party will gain. The party with more CP at the end of ten minutes will win the Monster Carnival.

Summoning

Although each stage comes pre-set with monsters and drops that inhibit the opposing parties' skills, there are summons that can be casted with your Carnival Points as well. There are three types of summons: Monsters, Skills, and Protectors.
