Easy Guide to Ellin Forest PQ

Getting Started

First u must be lvls 45-55 and not a Cygnus Knight. To get to Altaire Camp, you must go to Ludibrium and take 2 portals right until u get to Helios Tower (100th floor). Then, climb up the ladder and take the portal. Go up to the weird looking portal and go in. Take the next portal and then pass the ugly looking magician. Then take another portal then pass the Mossy Snails. I suggest that u go to cc1. Once there, find a party and do what your party leader says to get in. If you are the leader, i suggest clerics for mixed parties. If you don't have a cleric i highly suggest a full party of 50s+ that are all attackers (sins, dits, brawlers, etc.) To get in, the leader must talk to Ellin in an empty channel with 2-4 other party members (total of 3-5 people). Once in, take the portal in the middle and then you will transform to another character depending on your job. (As I know now there's a glitch that turns everyone to warriors) Take one more portal right then welcome to stage 1.

Stage 1

This is a pretty simple stage. All you have to do for this stage is to kill all of the monsters on the map. I highly recommend mobbers for this stage. When all the monsters are dead, take the next portal to advance to stage 2.

Stage 2

This stage is a little difficult and you must read carefully. Do not kill the monsters... yet. I repeat... DO NOT KILL THE BUGS! There is a part of land in the middle of the map that has a puddle under that piece of land. (It is very small so you must be careful.) The objective is to lure the bugs until they are over the puddle. Then you may kill them. I suggest I/L Wizards to freeze the bugs over the puddles so the others can take over. Kill the bugs over the puddle until they drop a total of 4 purple poisons. If they landed on the puddle, they will turn into pink poisons. So if they do not fall on the puddle, they will not turn pink and you may not pick up the poisons. When you get 4, go to the portal on the right of the map. Drop the pink poisons one by one on the left of the portal. Wait until all 4 of them dissolve and the thornbush in the back disappears. Then advance. If you got any number of poisons below 4, then you must start over because the thornbush grows back quickly.

Stage 3

I can't help you with this stage because it is very random. Everyone must take random portals until you find Ellin. When you find her, talk to her and you advance to the next stage.

Stage 4

For this stage, people who have done Ariant PQ, this will be easy for you. Talk to Ellin and she will give you 10 Purification Marbles. Go attack all the monsters while rapidly clicking the purification marbles until it says catch in pink and you get a monster marble in your etc. inventory. The party must get a total of 20 monster marbles. I suggest not helping others. Strangely, when I fight alone, I can catch the monsters in about 10 seconds each. When I help/receive help from others, I catch it much later then by myself. I/L Wizards are good at this because I almost always get 10 marbles faster than everyone else because of Cold Beam. (I am a lvl 55 I/L Wizard). Once the leader has 20 marbles, he/she talks to Ellin and an NPC called Sprite appears. Talk to him and you will be teleported to stage 5 (jump quest).

Stage 5

There are 3 platforms on the very top of the jump quest. One on the left, right, and middle. You can either go right or left to start the jump quest. Climb up the rope then jump off the first platform on the next and climb that rope and keep doing the same thing until you get to the third one. Go to where the spears are and pass 2 spears to reach a central rope in the middle. Climb up that rope. If you plan on doing the left platform, follow these steps - Leftjump, leftjump, leftdrop (dont jump but go left), leftdrop, leftjump, leftdrop, leftjump, leftdrop, leftjump, leftjump, rightjump, rightjump, leftjump, leftjump, rightjump. Climb up the left rope while dodging tobis. When you climb 4 ropes, break all 3 boxes in the platform. If you get a purple stone, yell done to your party and make your way down and talk to Sprite. If not, go back to the central rope. Directions for middle platform - rightjump, rightjump, leftjump, rightjump, leftjump, rightjump, leftjump. Take the middle rope while dodging tobis and break the boxes at the top. Directions for right platform - (must do pq one more time to remember. Very Sorry). The person who gets the stone talks to Sprite to go to the Boss Stage.

Boss Stage

Get all your buffs ready before summoning the boss. Make the person with the stones to drop it on the altar that looks like a stone and tell them to quickly get out of the way. When the boss comes out, tell the cleric to spam heal and if you don't have a cleric, get ready to pot like crazy. All cures help a bunch in this because the boss can seal, blind, and prevent you from jumping. It can also make you go in the wrong direction (you push right you go left) which cannot be healed with all cures. The boss has 3 stages. The first one is fairly easy as it only launches things at you, stomps the earth to cause damage, or causes poisonous gas that causes 50 or 200 damage per second. Once it is dead, the second stage comes out. This one can seal, blind, stop jump, stomp the ground, summon monsters, launch things, AND cause poisonous gas. The third stage, can summon, seal, blind, stop jump, cause opposite directions, launch things, stomp the ground, cause poisonous gas, AND cause rocks to fall out of the sky. (when there is a rock surrounded by yellow on you... GET AWAY as it causes 600+ damage). When it is killed it drops a lot of things, mostly pots, reindeer milk, dews, documents, a black marble, and very occasionally, scrolls. When it is dead, loot and take the right portal. Then talk to Ellin and you get 52500 EXP and an Altaire Fragment (DON'T THROW THESE AWAY). The next map is a map with a spring in the middle. Tell the one with the black marble to drop it in front of the spring and it will purify ellin forest. Take the next portal out and you are done!! Congratz on first pq lol. Oh yeah... 20 fragments and a b rank = altair earrings which when scissored, costs a lot of money. and after altair, 30 fragments and a rank = glittering altair earrings which when scissored, costs even more money.
