Dexless

From MapleWiki

DEX, and the reason for being DEXless

A Dexless character, is a character who ignores the basics of the game and put all AP points into LUK/STR instead of LUK+DEX or STR+DEX.

Though in the past this was common, now with alot of new powerful equipment, scrolls, and armour, it is possible(If Rich) to make a character based with NO dex, and have enough dex from equipment to pay off for the accuracy/stats required for a character.

Example:(Note, this is an EXAMPLE, and not a real calculation) Dexless Assasin/Bandit with 305 Luck, and 25 Base Dex. Wants to wield a Kandine/Scarab.

110 Dex is needed to wield either, so 85 dex would be needed from equipment.

It's best to be rich to be dexless, as it lets a character unleash it's full potential, but some people who aren't as rich but want to experience good damage go low-dex, as in not adding alot of Dex, but just enough with equipment to reach the Goal DEX.

EX: 45 base dex + 65 dex from equipment= Cheaper yet efficient.

Maple Weapons

During 2001, when Maplestory came out, and the aniversary came, all monsters dropped Maple Weapons(Weapons which are unique with stats, and different from other weapons in looks, level requirement, and Etc.)

These weapons were very valuable, as it permitted dexless characters without needing any dex(Though it's not recommended, as a low dex with a 120 Claw with 9 60%'s(With vicious hammer) than a Skanda with 9 60%'s(with vicious hammer), as later on in the game, the damage is more based on attack and less on luck)

First came the level 35/43 weapons, until 2007, when level 64 maple weapons were introduced, new limits came with it also.

Though they're good, they're only avaiable from drops every Anniversary, which lasts from Maple 5th-31st. So some people stock up, and sell them later in the year for extra profit.
