CatsScareMe's Blaze Wizard Guide
Oh. Uh, hey there. My name is CatsScareMe, and at the time of writing, I am a level 60 Blaze Wizard in Bellocan. I may not be the most godly BW out there, but if you follow my guide, you might become one of the best. I'll start with your Noblesse build (like it matters much) and go all the way to 3rd job (even though I haven't reached it yet).
Noblesse: From Humble Beginnings
So you've decided to make a Blaze Wizard. Congratulations! Of course, you can't just jump right into it. You have to start off as a Noblesse, the Cygnus version of the Beginner. Don't worry, though. Once you reach level 10, you'll be able to become a Blaze Wizard!
Noblesse Skill Roll (if applicable)
When doing the stat roll, these stats are most favorable:
- STR: 4-5
- DEX: 4-5
- INT: 9+
- LUK: 4-6
Recommended stats:
- STR: 4
- DEX: 4
- INT: 13
- LUK: 4
However, note that the stat roll has been removed from several versions of the game. In these versions, you can go pure STR/DEX/whatever up until the job advancement -- your AP will be reset once you become a Blaze Wizard.
Noblesse Skill Book
- Level 1: 10 Damage, -3 MP
- Level 2: 25 Damage, -5 MP
- Level 3: 40 Damage, -7 MP
- Level 1: +10 Movement Speed for 4 seconds, -4 MP
- Level 2: +15 Movement Speed for 8 seconds, -7 MP
- Level 3: +20 Movement Speed for 12 seconds, -10 MP
- Level 1: +4 HP every 5 seconds for 30 seconds, -5 MP
- Level 2: +8 HP every 5 seconds for 30 seconds, -10 MP
- Level 3: +12 HP every 5 seconds for 30 seconds, -15 MP
Noblesse Skill Build
Max Three Snails and Nimble Feet. I couldn't care less about what order you choose, as long as you avoid Recovery. Two Red Potions heal 28 more HP than Recovery, heal it instantly, and only cost 100 mesos. On the other hand, Nimble Feet allows you to move faster in short bursts, while Three Snails... well, you'll see.
Noblesse Training
- Levels 1-10: Ereve quests. Seriously, you have no other choice.
Beginner Blaze Wizard: Newfound Firepower
Alright. After only a few minutes, you've reached level 10. Now it's time to go back to Neinheart. After a short chat, run over to Oz and become a Blaze Wizard. Now you have the power of Ignis on your side, as well as a ton of MP for skills and AP to put into INT (and LUK, unless you're luckless like me).
Beginner Blaze Wizard Stat Build
- Standard: +5 INT, +1 LUK every level; keep LUK 3 above your level (ex: level 18 has 21 LUK)
- Alternate: +6 INT for four levels; +1 INT, +5 LUK for one level
- Luckless: +6 INT every level (recommended)

Beginner Blaze Wizard Skill Build
Standard:
- Level 10: 1 Increase Max MP Recovery (1)
- Levels 11-13: 3 Increase Max MP Recovery (MAX)
- Level 14: 1 Flame (1), 2 Magic Claw (2)
- Levels 15-20: 3 Magic Claw (MAX)
- Levels 21-26: 3 Flame (19)
- Level 27: 1 Flame (MAX), 2 Magic Guard (2)
- Levels 28-29: 3 Magic Guard (8)
- Level 30: 2 Magic Guard (MAX), 1 Magic Armor (1) (If only you could save this point.)
Alternate (this is what I used):
- Levels 10-20: see Standard Build
- Levels 21-23: 3 Magic Guard (9)
- Level 24: 1 Magic Guard (MAX), 2 Flame (3)
- Levels 25-29: 3 Flame (18)
- Level 30: 2 Flame (MAX), 1 Magic Armor (1)
Now do you see why I told you to max Three Snails? No? Well, these builds give you the maximum possible MP at the cost of a bit of power very early on. It won't hold your training back any more than 5 minutes total.
Beginner Blaze Wizard Training Spots
(Note that there may be overlaps. This is due to some training spots being efficient at the same time.)
- Levels 10-28: Keep doing the Ereve quests. However, I suggest stopping after Hersha's quests (level 18+).
- Levels 13-17: Pigs and Ribbon Pigs (Pig Beach, Henesys Hunting Grounds 2 and 3)
- Levels 16-24: Octopi and Bubblings (Caution Falling Down)
- Levels 21-30: Kerning Party Quest (mostly for rewards and fire-weak Ligators)
- Levels 23-34: Sand Rats (Sahel 3) (great EXP even in 2nd job)
