Cruising...

Eh, I'll just cruise the article list on the front page for useless articles for a while. :) -- Rapta 20:36, 27 March 2006 (CST)

Guild to a Mage

It's junk. -Kiyobi 00:31, 2 April 2007 (CDT)

<--- Guide ---> guide should be deleted

(Mythril's Advanced Mage Guide)Not to be rude, but if you dont delete this,at least tell him he's giving bad advice. (Example)(At level 25, put 1 point into Magic Guard, then start pumping Magic Armour until level 30. This gives you only 17 in Magic Armour, but it's ok, it will help us much more than Magic Guard.)Now,I say, yah, that would save you money. But it only gives u about 40 extra defense.Look, you're fighting Papa Pixie,Alishar,or Egroth, and they do about 600-3000 dmg.You could get OHKOed by them!Magic Guard is more useful than Magic Armor. So you use a few more pots.YOU CAN NEVER PUT A PRICE ON LEVELING!

  • In response to this, first, sign your post, it's only nice. Now in my defense, I do say that I'm offering an alternate viewpoint to using Magic Armour instead of Magic Guard. People should ultimately make their own decisions, but they should have more than just one-sided advice (when I first made my mage, I blindly followed the existing guide, only to find out that Magic Armour works better for me than Magic Guard). To say you want my guide deleted just because you don't agree smacks of censorship and totalitarianism. I feel I note clearly that my guide is for the power leveler who fights alot, and wants to maximize all that fighting time. It's also aimed at that critical period of levels 22-50. Of course it isn't right for everyone, but I think it's good to have differing viewpoints. I also back my claim with data, so like in any debate, we have multiple sides to the argument, and the reader should decide for themselves. Right now I know of two other people who have taken my advice, because they experienced the same thing I did with Magic Guard sucking down their mana too much (they're on their 2nd and 3rd mages, having abandoned their first Magic Guard-only mage). - Mythril 12:44, 12 May 2007 (CDT)
