Beginner At Maplestory
Note: Beginners were supposed to only be an introduction job, but the kind of beginners this article talks about is permanent beginners.
What is good about being a Beginner is that:
A.You don't lose Exp when you die! Although Beginners have a little bit more difficulty killing monsters, you don't lose Exp when you die! This means that you can level up faster + you don't need to pay for a cab to get to a place quickly- all you gotta do is go halfway there, die and you're already there!YAY!
B.You don't sort of belong to a city! There is no city you have to go to to get a job advancement or (during 1st job at least) to get clothes every few levels! Also, since you are a beginner, you get a 90% discount for cab trips!YAY!
C.A lot of clothes and weapons you can choose from! Although you can't wear most clothes or hold most weapons, there are a lot of clothes and weapons that are common or (more rarely though) only for beginners! Instead of wearing just the clothes for your job, your level, your gender and looking the same as everyone else, you are (pretty much) unique and you are free!YAY!
Creating Your Beginner
So, you have decided to make a beginner. Good choice, my friend! There is not much to write here, since there is no dice roll anymore to choose your stats, and you don't have to decide what stats are best to add, since there is an automatic distribution of stats for your job. That is what I recommend for you to use. I do have to warn you, though, that once you have decided to be a beginner, there is no turning back. I tried to do it once, and it turned out as a big mistake. I will talk about it later in this article.
Maple Island
Note: I do not deny that forbidding yourself to leave Maple Island is stupid, however it does have a few benefits:
A.You are respected. No one can ignore you just because you are a beginner, and since you are a higher level the newer people will respect you.
B.You have more money.Since there is nothing actually useful is sold on Maple Island, the only thing left to do is sell all your extra stuff, and you will have a lot of it, since you will be killing the same monsters over and over.
Apart from these two things, however, I think it is just a waste of time. What I recommend, is that if you already decided that you are going to be a beginner, it won't really matter if you stay there just a few levels more, however you will need to finish all the Maple Island quests before level ten, or else they will expire.
