Ban

Description

To be banned is to be blocked from playing Maple Story because of doing something wrong, as listed below. Only GM's have the power to ban you from playing.

There are two kinds of banning: perma-ban and a temporary ban. Perma-ban, or permanent ban, is when you are caught doing something very bad, and against the TOS. You will be perma-banned, or banned from ever using that account again. Temporary ban is when you are temporarily banned for doing something that is not as harmful to other players. This ban usually lasts a few hours.

You can get banned if you do not follow the rules of Maple Story. You can report someone, if they are not following the rules. (Right-click the person, click "Alert GM")

Ways you can get temporarily banned for

  • Typing in the wrong password/pin 5 times in a row for 10 min temporarily ban

Ways you can get perma-banned for

  • Hacking
  • Botting
  • Harrasment
  • Impersonating a GM
  • Advertising (very common these days)

If you are caught doing any of these activities, someone might report you to the GM's and they will read through the report and decide if you should be banned or not.

It is also bannable for buying or selling NX.
