Artifact Contest

The Artifact Contest is a summer event in MapleStory that lasts three weeks. In 2012, the event started July 12 and ran until July 31.

During the event, players have a chance of getting Mysterious Artifacts from monsters. Each Mysterious Artifact adds 5, 10, 15, or 20 points to their total Artifact Excavation score.

• In 2012, upon achieving 1,000 points, the player was rewarded with the 2012 Artifact Hunter medal. If the player completed another 1,000 points, the player was rewarded with an Archaeologist Hat and Archaeologist Glasses.

• In 2011, players were rewarded with the Archaeologist Hat, Archaeologist Glasses, and Archaeologist Face Paint.
