Description
Strength is one of the major stats found in Maplestory, with the others being Dexterity, Intelligence, Luck, Health Points and Mana Points. Strength is necessary for Warriors, Bowmen and some Thief equips. The stat is commonly abbreviated to the term "STR" within the game and MapleStory.
Effects
- Determines Weapon Attack.
- It is estimated that 3-4 Strength equals to 1 Weapon Attack.
- When you add AP into Strength, the damage shown on the AP panel will increase by a certain amount.
- It slightly influences MaxHP Increase.
- Does NOT affect HP Recovery Rate.
- It is basically a stat which boosts your raw damage.
Where Strength is Required
- To equip armor and weapons for Warriors, Bowmen and some Thief Daggers.
- Warriors require 35 Strength in order to advance as a 1st job Swordman.
- Strength is the main stat for the Warrior, meaning that it should have more AP allocated to it than any other stat.
- Strength is the substat for the Bowman, meaning that while it is still important to add AP into this stat, its priority is second to that of the the main stat's.
- Strength is the main stat used by Permanent Beginners. It determines most of their weapon attack.
- Strength is the main stat for Pirates, you put all of it into your brawler with dex the same as your level
GMS
Due to the new patch in Global Maple Story, you no longer have to follow AP builds from either levels 1-8 (magician) or 1-10 (rest of the jobs). Because, when you talk to your advancement intructor, you will be able to reset your AP (4 is the minimum). Due to that it is recommended that beginners only put AP into strength to be able to train quicker and speed up the leveling process.
