This is Roxus's guide for beginner Magicians! And how to be the best magician possible!

Magician Skills!

Improving MP Recovery - Max level 16 Improving Max MP Increase - Max level 10 Magic Guard - Max level 20 Magic Armor - Max level 20 Energy Bolt - Max level 20 Magic Claw - Max level 20

Pros & Cons of Mages

Pros:

  • High MP and high Damage
  • Fun game play (Opinion)
  • Easy travel (Teleport)

Cons:

  • High meso spending becuase MP potions cost more then HP.
  • VERY LOW HP.

Level 1-8

This is very obvious, you should begin maple island doing every quest you find, in a straight shot to Southperry. Being a magician you need to leave maple island EXACTLY at level 8. This can be obnoxious because of the lack of Bigg's Story on Victoria island and Chief's Recommendation.

Level 8-30

I have two guides for this one!

Maximum Mp Build

At your first advancement, put one skill point in improving mp recovery. Head straight to henesys to partake of the beautiful henesys party quest! One run through per level at level 8-12 practically will level you up each time you do it. Put skill points in Improving MP recovery until level 10. At level 10, top of improving mp recovery, and put Two skill points in Improving Max MP. Continue Doing henesys party quest untill you have Recovery, and Improving, MAXED. As far as doing the HPQ, i reccomend using your wand to hit enemies and lure, this will guarantee you into a party. Just make sure your good at it, and know how to do it. As always put one point in magic bolt, then IMMEDIATELY start maxing claw. You could alternately start putting points into a guard, but having attacks first will help external leveling from party quests. When magic claw is maxed, get magic guard to 5, then put all remaining points until level 30 into magic armor. Why I recommend Magic Armor! - It saves you A LOT of mp in the long run, clerics don't even NEED armor, using guard and having heal, will deplete your MP faster then your HP.

Easiest Magician Build.

Just max magic claw first, in between or afterwords, you SHOULD max recover and improving.

Making the Advancement!

Talk to Grendel the Old when you hit level 30, he will give you a Recommendation Letter. Then report to Magician Job Instructor who is in the very top of the map The Forest North of Ellinia. There you will have to collect 30 Dark Marble Then report back to the Magician Job Instructor. He will give you another letter, then you report back to Grendel and select your Second Job!

Choosing a Second Job!

You have three choices here, and choose wisely because of the elements that magicians have. Each of the classes have individual Pro's and Con's as well.

Cleric

Pros:

  • Heal is a very useful skill to have.
  • Heal combined with mp eater makes for VERY easy training.
  • Easy to get into parties, for Party Quests, and training.
  • Richest of the Three.

Cons:

  • Weakest of the three
  • Boring leveling. (ESPECIALLY with the new Leeching Rates.)
  • No mob skills until third job (Excluding heal, which is only used on zombie monsters.)

Fire/Poison

Pros:

  • Strongest of the three (Based on Basic Attack)
  • Two paths to go, Pizzard, Fizzard, and hybrid.
  • Good for bossing at lower levels.

Cons:

  • High meso consumption for mp/hp pots.
  • Not very party friendly.

Ice/Lightning

Pros:

  • Mob skills in Second job.
  • Ability to freeze monsters.
  • Better elemental control of the classes.

Cons:

  • Not a good class in El Nath (Opinion)
  • Very uncommon.
  • Lower mesos then Cleric and Fire poison class.

After making your decision you are now level 30 with your second job! All I have for level 30+ is ABUSE THE PQ'S MPQ and LPQ, are PERFECT for any level. And have fun! :D. Credits: RoxusTheWise ~ Demethos
