The other MapleWiki is unused and has only about 5 articles, while this one is active with over 650. Merging the two is a waste. EliteJeff 10:34, 26 April 2006 (CDT)

It's a new site, so it will be smaller at first. I expect that will change though. There's a giant flashing purple banner right above this page asking me what my favorite black eyed peas song is... don't you find that annoying? I'm quite surprised to find a MediaWiki site with this level of advertising on. I'm sure it's not needed to cover the cost of hosting. Angela 13:59, 26 April 2006 (CDT)

Your site has advertisements as well, on the right side of the screen. Plus, a privately owned wiki is much more efficient than a free one made in something like wikia or wikicities. I'd rather have a wiki on this site than on the other one. I realize its a new site, but what will make anyone notice or visit it other than you talking about it here? Theres only one recent change there, and it not that recent, and its yours. If the only reason you want to merge is to get rid of the ads, then we can't do that. No ads, no wiki. I don't understand what you mean by more efficient? If you mean it's cheaper, then that's not the case since running 1000 wikis on one site is cheaper than hosting each one individually. Also, if you moved to Wikia, you wouldn't have to worry about costs since we recently received $4million funding to cover that, as well as improvements to the software and all sorts of other things Wikia is hoping to do. I'm just having difficulty seeing why you would choose to be here with all these ads than move your content elsewhere. Angela 03:49, 27 April 2006 (CDT)
