Welcome!!

Hi, and welcome to my guide to being a magician!! Please note that this guide will not include the Cygnus Knight version of a magician [Blaze wizard]. Please try not to edit this, unless if you see extremely bad spelling mistakes. If this is left uncompleted, I will continue to finish it.

In the Beginning....

You start by creating and customizing your character. You can change the hair and eyes later by purchasing coupons from the cash shop. You can buy equips for your character as long as its for the character's class, or common. And then~ INTO THE WORLD OF MAPLESTORY!! [Please note that this is for the latest game version- V 0.80.] [Please note that the stat roll has been removed and so has the required 20 int to become a magician.] Once you make your character, you get two decisions:

Option 1- The classic way [best if you do this, even IF you are pro] Complete all the quests on maple island. Then you head to Victoria Island!!!

Option 2- 'The I-Don't-Want-To-Do-Those-Nooby-Quests' way. You start off directly in Lith harbor, as a level 1.

Either way you get to Lith Harbour so Onto your next leg of adventure!!!

Your 1st job advancement

GRATS FOR MAKING IT TO LVL 8!!!!! Once in Lith harbor complete bigg's quest by talking to Olaf. Then complete his quiz and then accept his quest: Path of the Magician. Once you do that keep on walking, and you'll see five large statues, one for each class. Talk to the Magician and it will send you DIRECTLY to Grendel the Really Old! How convenient!! Talk to Grendel, and then voila! You are now a magician!!! Congratulations!

Training?![Level 10~30]

There are generally 4 ways to train:

Option 1: Grinding Just kill monsters for exp.

Option 2: Quests Complete all of your quests for exp.

Option 3: PQing Do as many henesys PQ's [Level 10+]or Kerning PQ's [If you are level 21+]

Option 4: Questline Follow the questline all around Victoria island, until it is time for you to battle astraoth.

It is possible to do all of these options while you train.

Areas to train:

Pig farm: Recommended for level 13+

Monsters: Pig, Ribbon Pig, Turkey [only during thanksgiving]

EXP: High

Crowds: Low

A great place to train because the crowds are low [due to the fact that it is a mini dungeon.]

Henesys Hunting Ground II and III: Recommended for level 12+

Monsters: Ribbon Pig, Orange Mushrooms, Green Mushrooms, Turkey [Thanks giving only]

EXP: medium

Crowds: High

A good place to train, but there are waay too many people there.
