Tespia was the original Global MapleStory world. It was use to test (hence the name Tespia) MapleStory in the U.S. Running before the official release of the game, it served as a BETA world, where new aspects of the game would be released before they were made live.

After Tespia started to fill up, it was divided into two worlds; East Tespia for MapleSEA and West Tespia for MapleGlobal. Shortly after Global MapleStory went final and Scania went online, both of these worlds were closed. It was at first available for people in the U.S. and those in Malaysia, Singapore, and places around South-East Asia. Towards the end of the beta it was split up, and became MapleStory for the U.S. the other half was created into MapleSEA. At the end of May 2005, The new Maplestory was made for the U.S. and everyone had to restart their characters. But the Global version of Maplestory had some sympathy and kept BETA open for people to go back to. Then in November 2005 they Closed the BETA which means Closed BETA from the lack of play. When the new global started you had to have a beta account to start. Any user who had a character on Tespia could get a bandana called the Mark of the Beta upon arriving at Victoria Island.

Tespia [Testing World]

On March 11 , MapleGlobal released a testing server for testing things and finding glitches before it went out into the live server. The testing sever is limited and can only be accessed by winning a event held by Maplestory [Glboal] and they have to pick random people each month. Though they had a bug on the second one that people from the first server was selected. The testing server only lasts for 1 week before it is shut down and the live server patch starts.

The Test Server PHASE 3 had some technical errors/problems for 4 days. The Testing Server was down so they could fix the disconnection bug and the reason that they disconnected that was that they used Korea's Tespia Ariant code so when they posted iy up they had Korean wich werent traslated and U.S.A Computers couldnt translate it without an automatic one so since the computers couldnt read it so they disconnected. Anyways heres the info.
