Being a Hunter of MT, I have decided to make a guide about them. An Xbow guide has been made, but no Hunter Guide, so here is mine! I hope you like it :)

Why to Be an Archer
Well, first of all, they're not that common and unique. In addition, their rarity makes that armour and equips cheaper than most at lower levels. Also, if you're like me, their woodman style of armour is quite appealing. And, they've got Robin Hood and Legolas. All xBowman have is William Tell :P. At pro levels, rangers do all sorts of crazy damage. With strafe, they can do 10k damage per second. That's a bit better than Crusader's 30k per 10 seconds. In addition to decent damage, they can be quite ks-resistant at lvl 30+ so you won't get forced off a training field after 30 minutes of peaceful training.
Although archers may not have the most damage, or the most defense, or the fastest speed, they DO have one thing they OWN the other classes at. Versatility, or, basically, jack of all trades, master of none. They can do close range damage that sins cannot with arrow rain, not unsimilar to I/L mages' lightning attack. However, they can hit monsters at a range farther then mages. In addition, if any other char is stuck in a huge mob of, say, taurospears, they get blasted by magic. Archers? Puppet, arrow rain and strafe. That's all you need. If you want to have a reason to make an archer, consider this.
Dice Roll
When you start off a character to be archer, try to get 4 or 5 points in INT and 4 or 5 points in LUK. This is to maximize your damage at later levels. When you're in Maple Island, get your strength to about 10 and, most importantly, your dex to 25+.
AP Build
This is quite simple, minus the occasional "huh?"
All you have to do is get your strength to 5 levels higher than your actual level. For example, if you are level 32, your strength should be 37. Dump the rest of the AP into dex. That wasn't so bad, was it?
First Job Advancement
When you start off in Maple Island, train on green/blue snails. Do all the quests there cause they'll all help alot. Once you're level 10, go to South Perry. Keep going right till you see this english guy with a funky sword. He's on the farthest right of South Perry. Talk to him, pay his little fee and go to Victoria Island. Once you land on the ship, go right (but stay on the bottom ground) until you see a barbarian-like guy called Olaf. Finish his quiz, then tell him you wanna be a bowman. After that, go left and up the chain until you find a ticket office. Talk to the ticket dude and go to Henesys (not Kerning, Perion or Ellinia, HENESYS). Once you're in Henesys, go to Henesys park. The portal for the park should be in the middle-right of Henesys. Once you're in the park, go right until you find a treehouse. Go inside the treehouse, go up and talk to Athena. Keep pressing ok and next and bam! You're an archer. Grats.

SP Build-First Job
I'm not gonna bother with skill trees. I'll do it a shorter, different way. It's easier to memorize.
Get 3 points into Blessing Of Amazon
Get 8 points into Eye of Amazon
Get 20 points into Double Shot/Arrow Blow (Whichever you want but not both. I prefer DS)
Get 20 points into Critical Shot
Dump the rest into Blessing of Amazon
2nd Job Advancement
Hurray! You're level 30! Time to become a full-time hunter. Go back to Athena Pierce, who made you a bow(wo)man so long ago. Talk to her and she'll give you a letter. Take this letter and go to the top right portal of Henesys. Go into it, then go to the far right portal. After that, go up and then you'll find a woman with pink hair. Talk to her and she'll transport you to a cave. In the cave, you'll find evil eyes and zombie mushrooms. They only drop dark marbles. Once you have 30 dark marbles talk to the lady again. She'll give you a medal. Go back to Athena and give her the medal. After a couple of chat, she'll ask you what you want to be. Click Hunter. After that, it's just more chat, blah blah. You're a Hunter now!
Here's a screeny I took months ago of the inside of 2nd job adv.

Why 5 soul arrow and 15 booster?
Because they will both last for 2.5 minutes wich makes switching on those skills easier.
Where can you mess with this build?
Add 2 FA and 1 pkb every lvl. after you did all the mastery, booster, soul stuff. PKB is a usefull skill even at low lvl, but that also counts for FA, so its a good plan to up it both at the same time.
The Final Attack Controversy
Some Hunters get FA. Some don't. Personally, I think FA is a neccesity. Why? Well, it fires an extra arrow, using no MP, that is as strong as a double shot or arrow blow. Some say it messes up your timing in arrow bomb. That may be true, but not often. When you bomb a mob, FA kicks in and kills the nearest monster. Then you keep bombing. Where's messed up timing in that? Some say FA can't be used in conjunction with 3rd job skills. Well, let's see you even GET to the 3rd job. You may be able to do so without FA, but those that got it will be waiting for you to catch up with them. I can't force you to, but I definetly reccomend you to get Final Attack:Bow.
What to Train On
All the monsters are in order from easiest to hardest for that set of levels. The farther along the list it is, the closer it is to the end of that set of levels (eg.
