Gameplay
Gameplay
Gameplay-wise, Cygnus Knights are a spin-off variation of the original Explorers with few differences. Unlike Explorers, Cygnus Knights will receive 1 extra AP, 6 in total, upon each level until you reach level 70. Upon leveling up, they will also receive a 10% EXP bonus every time, making the Knights faster to level. The only trade-off to these leveling advantages is that they are limiting players. Unlike Explorers that can go up to level 200, Cygnus Knights can go only up to level 120.
Each Cygnus Knight has a gameplay that focuses on a special mechanic (I.E. Thunder Breaker can link their attacks with one another) that makes each job stands out with one another.

Despite their lack of end-game potential, they are notable for giving benefits to your other characters. Cygnus Knights possesses Empress's Blessing, which will increase its' stats every 5 levels, instead of 10. It's max level is 24, but it can be raised to 30 by doing a slew of quests.
You start off as a Noblesse in the floating island of Ereve undergoing rigorous training from the inhabitants of the island. Upon reaching level 10, you have the choice to become a Dawn Warrior, Thunder Breaker or Wind Archer. (Blaze Wizard and Night Walker are unavailable at the moment.) Like all classes, their max level is at 250. However, unlike other classes, they are able to obtain 4 SP per level until 4th job and are more economical as their 4th job does not require Mastery Books.

Once your character reaches 120, you can use your Knight and perform a special quest in order to create an Ultimate Explorer, a normal explorer retaining few skills from your respective Knight.
Classes
Dawn Warrior
With the massive strength and powerful physique, Dawn Warriors vanquish the enemy in close proximity. Powered with the Sun and Moon, they can send a stronger blow to their enemies with burning solar cuts or double their attacking output with the swings of the dark moon.

Blaze Wizard - Unavailable
As expected of any great Magicians, Blaze Wizards posses powerful magic. They can call on Ignis, the spirit of Fire, to fight with them. They can also merge with Ignis to release massive fire magic. Those who always strive to better themselves and are wary of self and enemy can become a Blaze Wizard.

Wind Archer
Attacking the enemy from a far, Wind Archers are guided by the spirit of wind. The strength of their bow is blessed with fairy magic and can strike their targets with rapid-fire precision and agility that can be accounted for.

Cygnus Knights only have 3 job advances. First job being at 10, second at 30 and third at 70.
Night Walker - Unavailable
Luck, skill, and a bit of cunning separate the Night Walkers from the rest. Though marked and assisted by the spirit of darkness, Umbra, Night Walkers put great importance in independence, which leads some to learn poison skills. Night Walkers serve justice in places where light does not reach, so those who are willing to serve in the shadows may become a Night Walker.

Dawn Warrior
With the massive strength and powerful physique, Dawn Warriors vanquish the enemy in close proximity. They are accompanied by Soul, the spirit of light, especially in combat. Only those equipped with a burning heart, sharp eyes, an even sharper blade, and undying loyalty to the empress are qualified to become a Dawn Warrior.

Blaze Wizard
As expected of any great Magicians, Blaze Wizards posses powerful magic. They can call on Ignis, the spirit of Fire, to fight with them. They can also merge with Ignis to release massive fire magic. Those who always strive to better themselves and are wary of self and enemy can become a Blaze Wizard.

Wind Archer
Trivia
Attacking the enemy from a far, Wind Archers are guided by the spirit of wind, Ventus. Ventus can be summoned to guard or fight, and can imbue its power to the bow as well as its owner. When a rational mind meets infinite freedom, a Wind Archer is born.
*Cygnus Knights were originally meant to be a spinoff of the Explorer classline with a level cap of 120. It was meant to be an easier alternative to playing your favorite Explorer job until various changes in the game removed the entire purpose of the class.

Night Walker
Luck, skill, and a bit of cunning separate the Night Walkers from the rest. Though marked and assisted by the spirit of darkness, Umbra, Night Walkers put great importance in independence, which leads some to learn poison skills. Night Walkers serve justice in places where light does not reach, so those who are willing to serve in the shadows may become a Night Walker.
Thunder Breaker
Having strength and power, Thunder Breakers deal with the enemy up close (similar to the Brawler class of Pirates). They are teamed up with the spirit of lightning, Fulgar. It can be summoned to fight, or to simply guard, and imbue itself into the knuckles of its owner. One may have the pleasure of power, but that power must not be used in the wrong way. Thus, a spirit of kindness must be mixed with bodily attacks, making a kind, willfull Thunder Breaker.
