Suggestions

You should leave maple island at lvl 8 but with some extra experience so when u complete olafs quest ur lvl 9 so you've got 3 extra skill points . and u could hunt green mushrooms much earlier, I hunted them around lvl 15 or something and it worked well but i guess u need some blue pots if u do.

I understand what you mean, but I haven't really had the time to experiment as to how much exp you should have when you leave Maple Island. I might do it later. But thanks for the Green Mushrooms tip, I'll add it in. You have been given appropriate credit. --Scorwix 15:31, 15 July 2007 (CDT)

A slight error

I've noticed in the 'Both skills first' part when it should say (Thunderbolt maxed) it says (Cold beam maxed). And down a little further it says '9Teleport Maxed)'. Useless info but you said you didn't want any mistakes. ;] Just to let you know.

Suggestions

First of all: You posted this guide in the wrong location. It should have been with the other I/L Wizard guides.

Secondly: A suggestion: In addition to Pio and the Recycling, [Rain's Maple Quiz, Please Deliver This Letter to Lucas, Sam's Suggestion, Lucas' Cute Daughter, Maria's Map Reading, Love Counseling?!, For a New World, Maria and Shanks] are all quests that can be completed by a magician before reaching level 8 AND speed up leveling to 8 in less than the 2 hours it takes to kill all those green snails.

Quest info:

  -For a New World: 
     -Talk to Mai about how difficult it is to train all the people coming through Maple Island
     -Talk to Lucas about getting help for Mai
     -Talk to Shanks (only when you're ready to leave Maple Island) for a free trip to Victoria Island to talk to Olaf 
      about getting help for Mai
  -Maria and Shanks:
     -Get Maria's Nutritious Juice (?) quest
     -Collect 5 Mushroom Spores, 1 squishy liquid
     -Return to Maria who will make the juice and ask you to deliver it to Shanks
  -Love Counseling?!:
     -Talk to Sam
     -Collect 3 tree branches
     -Talk to sailor outside armor shop in Southperry
  -Lucas' Cute Daughter:
     -Talk to Lucas
     -Kill 7 red snails
     -Talk to the bunny girl in Southperry

If you would like to include it: Rain's Maple Quiz, For a New World, and Please Deliver This Letter to Lucas require nothing but moving to/from Amherst.

Maria's Map reading just requires reading a pop-up box.

Tips for Love Counseling?! and Lucas' Cute Daughter:

  -Field West of Amherst is the best map for it
  -The platform with the Y-shaped platform formation over it is the ideal platform
  -Hit a stump/red snail that has spawned on that platform and run left
  -Either jump to the platform to the left that you find there and hit it from safety, or jump over it and hit it to 
   the edge of the platform and spam the attack key
  -Repeat

Tips for Maria and Shanks:

  -Jump, Attack in Field West of Amherst

Also, you might want to consider including Retz in the Thunderbolt first build training areas as there are some really good screws to stand on in Helios tower that are very effective for thunderbolt usage.
