Critical Shot is a passive, damage-boosting skill which is available to Bowmen in the first job. This skill is considered very important for all Bowmen, regardless of the future job chosen.
According to the in-game skill description, this skill deals 200% critical damage at a 40% success rate. However, it is commonly understood that this skill in fact adds 100% extra damage on a successful hit. This is the reason that Double Shot is generally considered superior to Arrow Blow.
This skill, along with the Assassin's Critical Throw, cause the damage to appear in a purplish color instead of the usual red-orange.
