Adding Admins
User:Armorproof
Hello, I would like to apply to be a moderator on this wiki. I think I would be a good moderator because
- I am dedicated
- I have a good sense of whats right and whats wrong
- I am interested in the subject and would love to contribute
I admit, I am a Very new member to the wiki community, and it will take a little while to get the basics down, though my experience in programming shall help in the learning process most likely. Please consider my application. Thank you. -Armorproof
User:Puppyswan
Hello, I hope this message has reached you well. I am applying for a administrator job because
a) There are currently no administrators.
b) I have been a asset to the Maple Wiki community.
c) Others applying for the administrator position hae been inactive.
I am an experienced worker and can spend time working as a volunteer administrator, unlike i.r. User:Yao12310. With my help, Maple Wiki can recieve a "celebrity" status among Maple players. Also, my experience with ALL new characters in the Maplestory game qualifies me to run the wiki.
Please choose me as an administrator so I can work for our fellow maplers.
Thank You, --Puppyswan 20:54, 4 February 2011 (UTC)

Hey, I hope this message goes to the Webmaster Stephen. This is Puppyswan, a maplewiki worker. On maplewiki there has been alot of vandalism going on. One admin is just not enough. Though Yongjianrong is a GREAT admin he can't be on all day. Copyright has been seen alot lately. I would like to nominate a maplewiki member to become a admin. His name is User:Magician3545. He has been helping many people with vandalism and has been making many templates to ward them off. He has been a great help to many people. He is an experienced worker and has one top contributor several times. He has ALWAYS helped with vandalsim when it happens. He believes in pure honest communication. I guarentee you that he is right for the job. He has proven himself so. I hope you recieve this message. Thank You, Puppyswan.
Dshet1209 message for recommendation * i've been going on this site for a while and after my computer started to suck i quit maple but i am very experienced with all of the characters and some in maple korea so i can put on ahead if maple korea allows it and if i can translate it so plsssssssss make me an admin for mswiki im re-downloading today 10/9/10
I'd also like to apply to become an admin. I haven't been active for some time because of personal reasons, like school, but I'm willing to come back to MapleWiki to continue editing and updating. As you can see, this wiki is in massive need of repairing (articles have different templates, there's lots of undeleted files, lots of stubs, etc) and if I were to become an admin, I would be able to help fix up this wiki. Also, I've won the Top Contributor award once, and as you see up there, I've been recommended by Puppyswan. I've also helped one hundreds of templates and articles. I believe because of these reasons, I am qualified to become and admin. Thank you for your time and consideration. Magician3545 16:39, 30 October 2010 (UTC) =)

Dear Stephen,
I would like to remind you that this wiki is in desperate need of an active administrator. The amount of articles and files marked for deletion is becoming ridiculous, and many editors have left the wiki entirely due to lack of recognition for their work. An active administrator would go through the backlog of tasks that no regular user can do (such as delete files) and also try to build and maintain stronger bonds with the editor community.
I believe I would be a useful administrator for this wiki. I have 3,400 edits on MapleWiki, I've almost built up and maintained DinoRPG Wiki myself, and I am single administrator for the official wiki of a browser-based game (Grepolis.se). On top of this I have spent countless hours reading Wikipedia.org policies and guidelines to learn good practice, and I've installed my own mediawiki project to learn the ins and outs of advanced wiki administration.
Please don't delay your decision of an administrator much longer. The wiki is taking its last few breaths and will soon die completely.

I don't know if I am in the right place to be asking to be a mod(I don't have the time to be an admin, but maybe a mod) or simply be able to delete out of date pages on content that no longer exists, but oh well. I used MapleWiki back whenever it was kept up to date(before Big Bang, but didn't edit it. I have been playing Maplestory before pirates even came out so I know what stuff is out of date and know what historically existed and generally when it existed and ceased to exist.

Hi, my name is Patricia, and I'd like to apply for the admin position. I'm indifferent about what title I have or don't have, but it'd surely help in updating pages and deleting pointless pages. I've taken it upon myself to update monster drop lists according to their Monster Cards in GMS, but it's not uncommon to run into a few pages whose proper names had to be redirected from pages incorrectly named, which is a huge pet peeve of mine, and it'd be great to remove some of those obsolete links so when you click on an item, there's no sign of it having to be redirected from another page. Also, by User:Kitten Tale's suggestion. I compiled a list of all Alchemy craftables and am on the process of finishing the Smithing ones, which Kitten had previously started. Once that's complete, I plan on creating all the missing pages for any craftables that don't have a page, which most certainly will be a lengthy project with the lack of editors. Thus, I will split any time available between the drop lists (which I'm fixing so the proper Drop Table infobox is in use), and the creation of those missing pages. I played on Global much before Big Bang, around a year before the Aran came out, and I've also had experience with private servers, which I played a little before eventually going into a Maple hiatus; but this Wiki was an invaluable resource throughout my gameplay. However, ever since a while after the Cannoneers came out, I've been back on Global, and I must say it was quite an overload of information at first, which gives me reason on helping to update this Wiki so other players can use it as a search engine for any doubts they have, regardless of whether it's about a job and its skills, which monsters drop which items, or how to complete a quest.
All in all, thank you for taking your time on reading this and giving some thought about my application, no matter how small. I'll still be striving to regain this Wiki to its former glory whether you accept me as an admin or not. (: --Arch3ops (talk) 12:53, 25 July 2012 (CDT)
LOL
I already loled at the first sentence of the policy, "human-readable summary" sounds a bit funny. Yongjianrong 23:17, 10 October 2009 (UTC)
I think this feature would allow a lot of clutter and space to be minimized (especially with repetitive information/lines).
It seems to be very easy to install, so please look into it - SanjitS95 03:52, 22 August 2010 (UTC)
- I agree with this. Collapsible boxes would enhance the usability of MapleWiki a lot and make it easier to organize related articles with less clutter. -- Zanachriel 05:31, 2 April 2011 (CDT)
Vandalism
Please ban the user XXPowaXx. He's been vandalising in every single edit, both by removing content and adding offensive material. Or at least appoint a new administrator who could do it for you, as there doesn't seem to be any available administrators at the moment. -- Zanachriel 15:23, 14 April 2011 (CDT)
This Wiki needs an admin
Could I then ask to sign up for adminship? Kennytran4 05:41, 22 October 2011 (CDT)
- PS: I have been on this wiki for years and I have edited quite a lot recently.
I would love to apply for adminship as well if that's possible. ToaArrol 13:11, 22 October 2011 (CDT)
Thanks
- Thanks for the promotion. I am very happy with it, and I will do my best to use my administrator priveleges properly. {{SUBST:kennytran4}} 05:49, 31 October 2011 (CDT)
