So what is mastery (for mage) in a skill description?

Energy Bolt: MP -14; Basic attack 55, mastery 60%

MP -14:

  • This spell/skill cost 14 mana

Basic attack 55:

  • This spell/skill do about 55 dmg + Magic Power(?)

Mastery 60%

  • ??
  • It's the chance to do full attack damage. You'll notice when the mastery for a skill is low, the damage is very random, sometimes doing the advertised amount, but often doing far less. I *think* it means for example if the mastery is 60%, that you'll at worst do 60% of the maximum damage. From what I can tell the only difference with mages is they have mastery on a per spell basis, instead of on all attacks with a weapon. Tahngarthor 08:56, 11 January 2010 (UTC)
