Seeme87's Striker/Thunderbreaker Guide - Everything You Need To Know

This is a guide to new Thunderbreakers.I hope this will help you level your thunderbreaker as you explore the maple world.

Some Things You Need To Know

-To creat a thunderbreaker or any Knight of Cygnus (KoC) Character you need to already have a lvl 20 or more account. That will be the account known as a parent account.

- To get to the KoC island of Ereve you take a approximately 3 minute ferry from Ellinia.

- You get 6 Ability Points (AP) per level instead of 5.

Blessing of Sprite (BoS) Explained!

Blessing of Sprite is a passive skill that raises Magic Attack, Weapon Attack,Accuracy and Avoidability. BoS is pretty much the connection between your parent account and your thunderbreaker. You cannot level BoS. The level of BoS on your thunderbreaker depends on the level of your parent account and vice versa. For Example:

Lv. 50 parent account - Lv. 5 BoS for thunderbreaker

Lv. 30 thunderbreaker - Lv. 3 Bos for parent account.

The level of BoS is pretty much 10% of the level of the parent account/thunderbreaker. It always rounds down. For Example:

Lv. 51 parent account - Lv. 5 BoS for thunderbreaker

Lv. 59 parent account - still Lv. 5 BoS for thunderbreaker

The BoS stats go like this: Level 01: Weapon Attack +1 , Magic Attack +2 , ACC + 1 , Avoid + 1

Level 02: Weapon Attack +2 , Magic Attack +4 , ACC + 2 , Avoid + 2

Level 03: Weapon Attack +3 , Magic Attack +6 , ACC + 3 , Avoid + 3

Level 04: Weapon Attack +4 , Magic Attack +8 , ACC + 4 , Avoid + 4

Level 05: Weapon Attack +5 , Magic Attack +10 , ACC + 5 , Avoid + 5

Level 06: Weapon Attack +6 , Magic Attack +12 , ACC + 6 , Avoid + 6

Level 07: Weapon Attack +7 , Magic Attack +14 , ACC + 7 , Avoid + 7

Level 08: Weapon Attack +8 , Magic Attack +16 , ACC + 8 , Avoid + 8

Level 09: Weapon Attack +9 , Magic Attack +18 , ACC + 9 , Avoid + 9

Level 10: Weapon Attack +10 , Magic Attack +20 , ACC + 10 , Avoid + 10

Level 11: Weapon Attack +11 , Magic Attack +22 , ACC + 11 , Avoid + 11

Level 12: Weapon Attack +12 , Magic Attack +24 , ACC + 12 , Avoid + 12

Level 13: Weapon Attack +13 , Magic Attack +26 , ACC + 13 , Avoid + 13

Level 14: Weapon Attack +14 , Magic Attack +28 , ACC + 14 , Avoid + 14

Level 15: Weapon Attack +15 , Magic Attack +30 , ACC + 15 , Avoid + 15

Level 16: Weapon Attack +16 , Magic Attack +32 , ACC + 16 , Avoid + 16

Level 17: Weapon Attack +17 , Magic Attack +34 , ACC + 17 , Avoid + 17

Level 18: Weapon Attack +18 , Magic Attack +36 , ACC + 18 , Avoid + 18

Level 19: Weapon Attack +19 , Magic Attack +38 , ACC + 19 , Avoid + 19

Level 20: Weapon Attack +20 , Magic Attack +40 , ACC + 20 , Avoid + 20

Thats pretty much all there is to blessing of sprite.

Creating Your Thunderbreaker

  1. Log onto your level 20+ account that you want to become a parent character. (No need for level 20 for MapleSEA)
  2. After the patch, the screen should turn black with a quick preview of cygnus knights.
  3. After the preview, click Accept.
  4. Your parent account will be teleported to Ereve where then after a quick chat with Benedict

the character creation page appears.

  1. Create your character ( I suggest the hand axe as a weapon. )
  2. Afterwards, log out of your main and log into your newly created Cygnus Knight.

The AP Build

The build for the thunderbreaker is pretty simple.

1 DEX
5 STR
per level

a better way of remembering is DEX is the same as your level, rest of STR.

When you're a nobless (find out what it is later) you can just use auto-assign because your ability points get renewed at the first job advancement.

pretty simple...

AP build stays the same for all levels.

Nobless

Nobless is pretty much the term used to describe a begginer KoC. Nobless has no job yet and its main goal is pretty much to get to lvl 10 to make the job advancement. Its probably the most boring part of the game but leveling is extremely easy. Just follow all the Cygnus quests that you are assigned to on the island of Ereve. The island is extremely organized so finding the right monsters won't be hard. In no time (30 minutes if your fast) you'll be level 10.

The Skill Point Build for Nobless doesn't really matter but this is what I reccomend. First max out Nimble Feet and then max out recovery. This is extremely debatable but it doesn't really matter. Nobless skills are almost useless.

The First Job Advancement

The first job advancement is the easiest. After you finish all the Ereve Quest they tell you to talk to one of the instructors. Go over to Hawkeye and have quick chat. You might need to talk to him again. Then you are finally a Thunderbreaker.

SP Build for First Job Advancement

M - Master Level

Lv.10+1 lightning sprite (1)

Lv.11-16 +3 Sommersault Kick (18)

Lv.17 +2 Sommersault Kick (M) +1 Quick Motion (1)

Lv.18-20 +3 Quick Motion (M)

Lv.21-26 +3 Straight (18)

Lv.27 +2 Straight (M) +1 Lightning Sprite (2)

Lv.28-30 +3 Lightning Sprite (11)

End Result

Sommersault Kick (M)

Straight (M)

Quick Motion(M)

Lightning Sprite(11)

Equipment for First Job Advancement

Equipment is pretty complicated because it pretty much matters on how much money you have. You can be non-funded which means you started out with 0 mesos and got no outside help to get more mesos. You barely have any money in other words. You can be partly funded which most people are because they have a lvl 20+ which means you can probably sustain yourself with some good equips. You can be extremely funded which means you probably have enough money to scroll a ton of items and get a bunch of cool stuff that is already super high leveled. I'll try to explain what to equip for any amount of mesos.

Level 1-10

Stay with the starter equipment

Hat: Nobless Hat

Overall: Nobless Overall

Weapon: Hand Axe (or whatever you started with)

Shoes: Parachute Agent Shoes (Event item)

If the event is gone then stay with your sandals.

Level 10-14

I would still stay with the Nobless equipment if you aren't funded but switch out Hand Axe with the Scallywag Knuckler that Hawkeye gives you. If you got the money go ahead and buy the lvl 10 equips. Buy your armor at Nautlius up to level 30. In this order of priority.

Weapon: Steel Knuckler

Hat: Brown Rocky Bandana

Overall: Brown Rocky Suit

DO NOT SCROLL even if you have the money to. You grow out of this equipment so fast its now even funny -.-

Level 15-19

You have probably earned some mesos now so depending on how much mesos you have you should buy different equipment. I would spend all your mesos on the equipment that are listed below. If your low on mesos buy the ones at the top before the ones at the bottom.

Weapon: Leather Arms

Hat: Brown Lagger Cap

Overall: Brown Cotton Lagger OR Brown Lagger Slippers(If you don't have the parachute agent shoes)

NO SCROLLING

Level 20-24

If you have the money buy the items below once again from top to bottom. But if you want to save the level 20 items aren't a must so if you don't want them then don't get them and save up for your level 25 equips. I would start killing pigs now and save up 15 leather. Then talk to Jim From The Streetz in Kerning City and let him synthesize a pair of work gloves for you.

Weapon: Double Tail Knuckler

Hat: Brown Double Marine Cap

Overall: Beige Carribean

Glove: (With 15 Leather and 1000 Mesos) Work Gloves.

Shoes: Brown Skeedy Sandals (Only if you don't have the parachute agent shoes)

SCROLLING: If you make the work gloves then you can scroll them. At your level I suggest some (Maximum of 5) 100% DEX scrolls for gloves which cost 35,000 mesos each. If you have money you can start scrolling with 10% or 60% DEX scrolls for gloves. If you have alot of money go for some 10% or 60% ATT scrolls for gloves. You can get 10% DEX scrolls for gloves from KPQ(explained later).[1].

Lvl 25-30

You probably have more money now. Start buying the equips from the list below top is highest priority bottom is least priority. If you didn't get the gloves I would get them now. And if you have some left over money start scrolling your gloves (described above). You also should get the Old Raggedy Cape from the quest Mystery of Niora Hospital.

Weapon: Norman Grips

Hat: Brown Pitz Hat

Overall: Brown Turk Gally

Glove: Work Gloves (If you haven't gotten them already)

Cape: Old Raggedy Cape (From quest Mystery of Niora Hospital)

Shoes: Brown Wooden Krag (Only if you don't have the parachute agent shoes)

SCROLLNG: Same as lvl 20-24.

Training For First Job Advancement

Lvl 1-10:Do all the quests on ereve. Self explanatory.

Lvl 10-20:Do all the Cygnus Knights quests. Should get you to around lvl 20. If it doesn't start training on the map Hidden Street: Caution Falling Down. Or you can do Henesys Party Quest in Mushroom Park.

Lvl 21-25:Continue training at Hidden Street: Caution Falling Down. Or you can do Kerning Party Quest near the sewers of Kerning City

Lvl 25-30:You've got new Cygnus quests. Start doing the one in Perion and then in Sleepywood. Also do the lvl 25 quest Mystery of Niora Hospital for the Old Raggedy Cape (Look Above).

The Second Job Advancement

Congratulations you have reached Lv.30 (which I must say isn't easy unless you leeched or hacked) and you are ready for your second job advancement! These are the steps for the second job advancement:

1)Go back to Ereve

3)Talk to Hawkeye

4)Go to the Training Forest.

5)Go to the end of the training forest. And go to the second drill.

6)Collect 30 proof items.

7)Talk to Hawkeye

Congratulations! You have just passed the second job advancement.

SP Build for Second Job Advancement

There is pretty much one universal build for the second job advancement. Here it is:

Lv.30 +1 Max HP Increase(1)

Lv.31-33 +3 Max HP Increase(10)

Lv.34-39 +3 Mastery(18)

Lv.40+1 Mastery(19) +2 Energy Charge(2)

Lv.41-42 +3 Booster(6)

Lv.43 +1 Booster(7) +2 Corkscrew Blow(2)

Lv.44-49 +3 Corkscrew Blow(M)

Lv.50-55 +3 Energy Charge(M)

Lv.56-61 +3 Energy Blast(18)

Lv.62 +2 Energy Blast(M) +1 Booster(8)

Lv.63 +3 Booster(11)

Lv.64-69 +3 Lightning Charge(18)

Lv.70 +2 Lighting Charge(M) +1 Mastery(M)

End Result

Max HP Increase(M)

Mastery(M)

Corkscrew Blow(M)

Energy Charge(M)

Energy Blast(M)

Lighting Charge(M)

Booster(11)

Equipment for Second Job Advancement

Nows when you start getting all the cool looking pirate armor. But the armor starts costing ALOT. Another problem is you have to start buying armor in Ludibrium..

Lv.30-35

The armor here starts getting expensive. Buy the list below from top to bottom. Thankfully the Level 30 armor still can be bought in Nautlius. You can also get Spiegelmann's Necklace with Maple Coins. You also can use Maple Coins the get Spiegelmann's Marbles to upgrade Spiegelmann's Necklace.

Weapon: Prime Hands

Hat: White Oceanic Cap

Overall: Blue Brace Look

Shoes (only of you don't have parachute agent shoes): Brown Paulie Boots (synthesize in Sleepywood)

Gloves: Work Gloves

Medal: Cygnus Knight Medal

Earring (Not Needed): Some Red Cross, Emerald, Lightning or Star Earrings (get from Kerning City Party Quest)

Pendant: Spieelmann's Necklace (Carnival Party Quest)

SCROLLING: Use 100%, 60% or 10% DEX scrolls for gloves on the work gloves or 100%, 60% or 10% ATT scrolls for gloves on the work gloves.

Lv.35-40

You probably got my priorities down now. Weapon, Hat, Overall, Shoes (only if you don't have the agent ones), Gloves, Earrings. Things start getting really expensive now if your not funded. All your armor now has to be bought in Ludibrium (up to level 40) which is approx. 30 minute ride from Victoria Island (Ellinia --15 min--> Orbis --15min--> Ludibrium). To get your weapon your need to do Carnival Party Quest (up to level 50) and trade in the maple coins for your weapon. You could also buy them at the Maple Trade Shop (see Tips and Tricks Section)(up to level 120). If your low on mesos I would just skip the level 35 equips.

Weapon: Silver Maiden OR Maple Knuckle

Hat: Blue Den Marine

Overall: Red Barbay

Shoes(Only if you don't have the agent shoes): Brown Locote Shoes (Synthesize Sleepywood)

Gloves: Work Gloves

Medal: Cygnus Knight Medal

Earring: Sapphire Earrings

Pendant: Spiegelmann's Necklace

SCROLLING: same as above.

Lv.40-43

The armor just keeps costing more and more mesos.

Weapon: Neozard

Hat: Red Misty

Overall: Green Plasteer

Shoes:(Only if you don't have agent shoes): Brown Leather Krag (Synthesize Sleepywood)

Gloves: Work Gloves

Medal: Cygnus Knight Medal

Earrings: Blue Moon (Complete Quest: Fairy's Horn Flute)

Pendants: Spiegelmann's Necklace

SCROLLING: Same as above.

Lv.43-50

There really isn't any Lv.43 armor. The only thing that changed is you could possibly buy a Maple Storm Fingers (weapon) from the Maple Trade Shop or the Free Market.

Weapon: Maple Storm Finger

Gloves: Work Gloves

Medal: Cygnus Knight Medal

Earring: Blue Moon

Pendant: Spiegelmann's Necklace

SCROLLING: The Maple Storm Finger is probably the first weapon that would be worth scrolling. If you do buy a Maple Storm Fingers you can scroll it with some 100% or 60% ATT scrolls for knuckles. I don't think its worth putting on some 10% scroll because you will only be equiping it for approx. 7 levels. Same scrolling with the work gloves as above.

Lv.50-60

Now you have to buy pretty much all the equips you get from the Maple Trade Shop or Free Market. Here is when scrolling starts too. You can still get the weapon (Fury Claw) from Carnival Party Quest.

Weapon: Fury Claw

Hat: Brown Leather Ocean Hat

Overall: Green Plasteer

Shoe:(Only if you don't have agent shoes): Brown Double Boots (Synthesize Sleepywood)

Glove: Work Gloves

Medal: Cygnus Medal

Earring: Black Emerald Earring

Pendant: Spiegelmann's Necklace

SCROLLING: Here is where the first real scrolling begins. Start by scrolling your Fury Claw (weapon) with 100%, 60% and 10% ATT scroll for knuckle. Then continue with scrolling your overall and then your shoes. Use 100%, 60% or 10% DEX scrolls for your overall. Use 100%, 60% and 10% DEX scrolls for shoes. If you want to have some fun you can use speed or jump scrolls instead on the shoes. I suggest not using 100% scrolls on the gloves any more. Make a new pair with 10% or 60% if you need to.

Lv.60-70

Now you have to buy things from the Maple Trade Shop or Free Market or if your lucky a monster will drop it.

Weapon: Psycho Claw

Hat: Purple Cast Linen

Overall: Black Royal Barone

Shoe: Black Basile Boot

Glove: Work Glove

Medal: Cygnus Medal

Earring: Metal Silver Earrings

Pendant: Speigelmann's Necklace

SCROLLING: Keep scrolling like above.

Training for Second Job Advancement

Lv.30-45:Carnival Party Quest is the best way to train. You can enter Carnival Party Quest in Kerning City or Ludibrium. You should probably use room 3 or 4 right now but the other rooms are okay too.

45-55: You can start training on roids now. You can find roids at Lab Area C-1 or C-2 near Magatia. You can also keep doing Carnival Party Quest to level 50.

55-60: Start doing Ludibrium Maze Party Quest to earn some major money. Singapore Trucker are also good training. You can find them at Suburban Area 2.

60-70: You can keep doing Ludibrium Maze Party Quest or you can start kill Voodoos or Hoodoos.

Tips and Tricks

1) Sommersault Kick will be your mobbing skill for a long time. Learn how to use it.

2) During the second job advancement using the combo corkscrew blow + sommersault kick is a good idea.

4) Make sure you know what lightning is most effective against nad train on those monsters.

Maple Trade Shop

The Maple Trade Shop is a shop that allows you to sell in-game items for NX. To access the Maple Trade Shop (MTS) simply click on the green button on the lower right-hand corner of the screen that says cash. After you enter double click on the item you want to sell, type in the quantity and sell it. The minimal listing price is 110 NX. Don't sell random items in the MTS. Only sell items you can't buy from a NPC. Plates and Jewels sell at 110 sometimes. To buy an item just double-click on it and have enough NX to buy it.

Free Market

The Free Market is where you can buy and sell things for mesos. There are shops in many different portals that you can buy things from. Things in the free market are usually really rare or cost alot of money.

The Skill List

Im gonna list all the skills and the stats for them. They probably won't mean much to you right now because there are alot of numbers involved.
