Sample Drop Table

Here is one possible drop table format. The example contains the format from Yeti and the drops from Grupin. It also appears to be similar to the drop table for Slime.

  Yellow Jangoon Armor (M)

  Red Jangoon Armor (F)
  Brown Jangoon Pants (M)
  Red Jangoon Skirt (F)

Here is an example of an item drop table. This one is from Blue Ribbon Pig:

Note that there would also be a table for skill books, where applicable. I would like to make this into a template, but I lack the knowledge to do so. If anyone is interested in helping with this project, please post here.

Big Bang

There are still many pages that need to be updated. If you see a page that contains obsolete information, please add {{Big bang notice}} to the top of the page.

There is also the notice {{Missing Image}} and a corresponding category for pages that are missing pictures, maps, etc. This is not specific to the Big Bang, but many new pages lack images.

Thank you.

Collapsible boxes

Collapsible boxes is a feature that has to be installed by the owner of the server. It's already been suggested to Stephen so all we can do now is hope that he adds it.. -- Zanachriel 02:53, 2 April 2011 (CDT)

Thanks. I thought it had to be done by the server's owner, but I figured I could at least try to draw attention to it. -- Owlepicurus 22:59, 14 April 2011 (CDT)

Re: Maple Bday Cake Image

Done! The old image might still be remembered by your computer, so press F5 multiple times quickly, or try Ctrl+F5 to reload (it depends on your browser). -- Zanachriel 01:43, 1 May 2011 (CDT)

Another Wiki contributor!

Hi there! I just took a gander into recent changes, and you appear to be the only other active wiki contributor here. I have been working on improving the state of the wiki the past couple days, but no doubt you've probably worked more on it than I ever will.

I have a template set up and working to take care of some categories regarding NPCs. Items and Monsters will be getting their template sometime later, as soon as I finish customizing the NPC template. You can find the link on my User page. I would like to see your ideas and hopefully we could collaborate. Kitten Tale 14:19, 31 July 2011 (CDT)

Hello! I will gladly collaborate with you, as well as with anyone else who wants to improve the wiki. My main focus is on updating out-of-date pages, standardizing the formatting, and cleaning up bad grammar/misspellings/etc. I already saw your NPC infobox, and I think it looks great. It helps guarantee that all of the relevant information will be included, and it makes the page look cleaner. Once you're done making major adjustments to it (i.e. anything that would impact the way it is used in the page's code), I'll try to add it to as many pages as I can. If there is any other way I can help, feel free to ask. -- Owlepicurus 22:11, 31 July 2011 (CDT)
At the moment, I am in the alpha stage of creating a Monster infobox (I soon realized that the NPC infobox would be far too complex to include all traits that would be assigned to monsters, as well as NPCs). My notes are on my User page, so I will need some help to figure out which stats are needed in the infobox for Monsters. If you see something included that shouldn't be, or something that's not included that should be, please don't hesitate to let me know. Kitten Tale 08:07, 1 August 2011 (CDT)
The Monster infobox is now up and working, and can now be seen on this page! If you have any feedback, please drop it at my talk page. Kitten Tale 10:35, 1 August 2011 (CDT)

Regarding the NPC infobox

Hi there. Just a heads up that the NPC template is going to be split into two new categories: Shop NPCs and Other NPCs. This change is being made because the current NPC infobox does not cater enough for Shops, and I feel additional options will clutter the infobox. So any NPCs that head shops, just skip them for now until I can customize a template just for them. This will merge shop keepers with their shops, because a majority of them offer nothing other than merchandise (and the two articles apart make for a maze of links and two stubby-looking articles).

And on a similar but unrelated note, the Guild NPC Heracle is currently merged with the guild article (similar to what I plan to do with shop npcs), but for some reason he just doesn't quite fit. The article is in dire need of a re-write, so if you're interested, I would like to re-format that page into simpler language and an easier layout to follow.

As always, Kitten Tale 12:36, 1 August 2011 (CDT)

Okay. I'll give Heracle his own page, and try to clean up the article. Do you know if the new guild system has been implemented in all versions yet? -- Owlepicurus 12:43, 1 August 2011 (CDT)
I didn't even know it changed. I'm a GMS player, and started the game after the Big Bang. Research-wise, I haven't checked. Kitten Tale 12:48, 1 August 2011 (CDT)
The change happened back in... March? April? I know it was separate from the Big Bang, at least for GMS. I'll ask the contributor from EMS if they've gotten it yet, but I don't know how often she checks the wiki. I'll still start work on the page today. -- Owlepicurus 12:52, 1 August 2011 (CDT)
Oh, just to clarify, I'll be merging Heracle into the Guild article permanently, because he doesn't really belong as a second article (since everything he does is explained in the Guild article). His name will redirect to the Guild article like it does now, but the template just doesn't fit for him (because everything is categorized by input, Guild is listed as a Male NPC, and an NPC that offers a service).

The article itself is just a jumble of information. Kitten Tale 12:58, 1 August 2011 (CDT)

The Shop NPC infobox is now up. Kitten Tale 14:03, 1 August 2011 (CDT)

A new infobox

I have a new experimental infobox set up and working (finally) after the couple of days I've been working on it for the past couple of days.

This infobox is used for shops and should be a great feature once fully completed.

Formatting on this is much easier for new users and makes implementing much easier for those with limited Wiki code skills. It's also nice in that, unless the price is not average, it will take the average price and use that first (this can be overridden by using another number).

The template set up is standard, and has many notes included to ensure everybody knows what fields are for what and how to interact with them. There are no case-sensitive fields (a heavy majority of them don't even require a specific word or phrase - simply entering something into the field will trigger the event), but including commas with prices is a definite plus.

Although it does support weapons and armor, those features are very limited (as I haven't woven through all shop items yet) but will be included as I get to them.

If you decide to take a look at it, I would very much like feedback, as it's a giant list of code, and hopefully will one day be a central tool for all shops.

Best regards, Kitten Tale 22:44, 3 August 2011 (CDT)

Thanks. I'll test it with an actual page first (I won't save any of the changes) and then leave any comments I have here. -- Owlepicurus 12:52, 4 August 2011 (CDT)

Are Item Info Boxes Truly Necessary?

Hi, I'm new to these forums, just started today actually, and I already have a question. Ha. Same as the headline above; Are item info boxes really necessary? Personally, I don't think they are, and I actually don't like looking to the right all the time to read the stats of an item, I'm used to reading from the left.

It's totally up to you to tell me which one I have to use (info boxes), or if I'm free to do what I want (no info boxes), I was just wondering. Thanks.
