There are rumors that there have been only 3 of them in existence, all of which are now inaccessible:

• The first was said to have been broken by a 30% Dark Scroll for Pole Arm for Attack
• The second was apparently lost on the ship to Orbis
• The third is supposedly on a banned account

If they're speaking of GMS these are false. The Maroon Mop has been in the GMS database for years, but has never actually been implemented into the game.

In some other versions of the game, the Maroon Mop is obtained through a quest using the Undine Cloth with Monster Erasers. And in MSEA, the Maroon Mop is available in every Gachapon.
