Dale's Dagger Thief Guide
Indroduction
Dagger Thieves (Bandits) are the most uncommon of all the thieves. Why is that? The other type (Assassins) have range, speed and nice damage. So Why go 'Dit? Read on.
Pros and Cons
Here are the pros and cons that I know for bandits;
Pros: Nice Damage, Flashy Moves, Haste (Sins have too), Don't have to buy stars, Have meso explosion in 3rd job, Melee can be fun.
Luk Or Str Bandit?
Most people know, there are str and luk dits. But which is the best? I personally prefer luk. Luk dits are stronger than str, but str dagger haves a speed of 'Faster' and luk daggers have a speed of 'Fast'. Str dits are also cheaper, and are very rare. To equal out Luk and Str dits, str dits have higher dagger attack (about 3-6 higher damage). They get an extremely strong shield at level 80 and 120, the Khanjar and Dragon khanjar; Both add very high weapon attack, 6-8 and 13-16 approx. Str dits are essentially weaker 1-54, but after about level 55 their damage is way more balanced and their power is comparable to regular ones. For example, if a luk dit has 100-600, a str dit will have 300-600, which means better minimum damage.
Luk dits on the other hand, are more expensive, and have higher damage from about first to third job. Their damage is unbalanced.
How much str shall i have?
If you are a str 'dit, just enough str to equip your weapon, thats all. Luk dits have NO str!
Stat point build
Firstly, when you create your character on maple island, make sure you roll a 4/5 for str and int, but if you are planning on making a str dit, just make sure you roll a 4 int. When your char is made, keep raising your dex until it is 25 (min dex for thief is 25) then the rest on luk. After you complete the advancement, keep your dex twice your lvl and (if you are gonna be str dit) just enough str to equip your dagger. Rest on Luk.
Rest of guide coming later.
