Demethos World Transfer
Hey Maplers,
It looks like users are still able to purchase a world transfer coupon to transfer in and out of Demethos. Currently we are not allowing any transfers in and out of Demethos until further notice. Please do NOT purchase a world transfer coupon as the system will take your NX. We will be issuing a refund to those that have purchased the coupon. We apologize for this inconvenience. This should be fixed on our next patch.

Scheduled Server Maintenance
MapleStory will be going through a scheduled maintenance on Wednesday, February 11th, 2009.
This one involves all game servers, and it'll last for approximately 3.5 hours.

Game Client Patch and Cash Shop Update on 21/01 [20.01.2009]
Dear Maplers,
Please be informed that there will be a Game Client Patch and Cash Shop Update for MapleSEA on the 21st January 2009, from 0800hrs to 1300hrs (+8 GMT). The Game Service will be down during this period. Please logout before this time to avoid any loss of items.

Unravel the mystery of Alchemy as you explore Magatia town located in the Nihal Desert.
Exclusive Malaysia Map Boss Monsters and Quest
Behold the sight of the Targa and Scarlion Boss monsters which you have been waiting for! To start the Malaysia boss monsters quest, journey to the Malaysia Kampung Village and speak to NPC Lam.
Tri-Trio-Triple Event added! (Available from Jan 21st till Feb 24th)
Extra bonus EXP will be given away at every 3rd monster you hunt. The longer you hunt, the more bonus EXP you will get!!! Receive up to an additional bonus of 200% EXP with this special event!
Newcomer Reward Quest added! (Available from Jan 21st till Feb 24th)
Is becoming a newcomer hitting your worry list? Do not fear as NPC Sera in Maple Island comes to your rescue with a Newcomer Bandanna and some Fruity Candies! Yuan Bao, a golden ingot which symbolizes wealth and prosperity are dropping from all monsters during this joyous Chinese New Year period! Make a trade with NPC Joyce to exchange your ingots for a Hong Bao (known as Red Packet). The bigger the Hong Bao, the higher chance you will get 888,888 mesos from NPC Cai Shen!!!

Celebrate the “Year of Ox” with the most majestic lion dance in MapleSEA! Speak to Yuan Bao Fo conveniently located in most towns to travel to a special event map where the playful Dong Dong Chiang hides!
Mind of Maple Necklace Quest added! (Available from Jan 21st till Feb 24th)
There’s a legendary necklace called the Mind of Mapler that everyone would like to have their hands on… Once the Gate of Time opens, Tian Jiang will bring blessing to everyone who possessed it. Visit Tian Jiang as only he knows the secret behind the necklace.

New Horned Tail Conditions implemented!
1) User will now require a Horned Tail Ticket that is necessary to be in the inventory during the boss fight. Otherwise, user will be disconnected.
2) Throughout the horntail duration, only the 30 characters that are registered in the Horntail Squad List can remain in the 3 maps. Any other characters that are in the maps but not registered in the list will be disconnected immediately.
Christmas events and NPCs are removed.

Differentiating between Original and "Fake" websites
Dear Maplers,
"Fake" websites are referred to as phishing websites. They pose as a danger that will catch unaware users by capturing their account login details if you attempt to login via the phishing website. Operators behind the phishing website will then make use of the details obtained to enter the legit and original website.
Please be advice that there is a new wave of phishing websites out there now in view to hijack your personal details. We have since received several reports from our friendly players highlighting this issue as well.
Please make sure that you only login to your Asiasoft Passport if you see the Asiasoft Passport Certicate. Only the true and original Asiasoft Passport will contain the certificate. Any phishing or fake websites created to mimic us and steal players' information will not contain the certificate.
Below is how you can identify the original Asiasoft Passport.
1) Make sure the URL is correct. https://passport.asiasoft.net/logon/login.aspx is the original website.
2) Check that the URL of the Asiasoft Passport begins with "Https" and not "Http". The "s" symbolizes a secured website.
3) Right click on the website and choose "Properties" to check for certification.
4) Click on "Certificate"
5) Make sure you see the certificate as shown below. Fake websites will not be able to produce any certificate at all.
Do NOT login to the passport should any of the information above are not available.

[Apology] to 24/12's Unexpected Server Restart
Dear Maplers,
We truly apologise for any inconveniences you might encounter by unexpected server restarts on 24/12. As compensation, we’ve decided to extend the time of 2x Exp and 2x Drop Rate event on 3rd January 2009 and 4th January 2009. 2x Exp and Drop Rate event on 3rd Jan and 4th Jan will start 1 hour ahead, to sum it up, each 2x Exp and Drop Rate event scheduleed on 3rd Jan and 4th Jan will be from 0900hrs(PST) - 1200hrs (PST).
We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience again, thank you for your patience and understanding.

The new adventrous Version 0.69 challenges Pink Been upon its patch!
Dear Maplers,
MapleChina Version 69's patch includes the "Time Temple" which the patch will be starting 0:00 on January 16 till 6:00 at the beginning of the patch. The download link will be released this evening. You are welcomed to join the expedition team as they challenge the strongest yet cute Boss of MapleStory, Pink Been!
